Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 4G LTE Stainless Steel 40mm – – It’s OK.

It’s ok, but the smartwatch ecosystem currently feels a bit like wap before the smartphone really came into being i. Lots of nice watch faces but many of the 3rd party apps are pretty crappy. Either they don’t work at all, or are functionally pointless and you might as well reach for your phone. The built in functionality is fairly good (although the sleep tracker is underwhelming – my 3 yr old dragged me out of bed at 5. 45 this morning but the watch claimed i slept till 6. Heart rate sensor seems to be accurate, at least when measured against certain gym machines with heart rate functionality too. All in all, this watch is a nice to have rather than a must have.

Battery life on this watch is great, lasts twice as long as specified, i usually get 4+ days (it helps if you turn on ‘goodnight mode’ before heading to sleep). Step counter and tracking is pretty accurate especially in comparison to other smartwatches. The only thing that i was disappointed about with this watch, is that it didn’t come with a screen protector. At first, having a screen protector for the watch didn’t seem necessary to me until i bumped my wrist on a door slightly and it left a scratch on the screen (small but noticeable). I was shocked that the watch was scratched so easily by such a minor bump, and unfortunately, the only way to repair this is to send the watch off for repairs at the local repair centre, which doesn’t sound cheap at all. In conclusion, the watch is great overall but if you’re buying one i strongly suggest you purchase a screen protector too.

Bought this watch to help motivate me to run and it has certainly done the trick. Battery life is really good and the accuracy of the gps and heart rate monitor seem spot on. The native samsung health app syncs really well between the watch and my phone but i also use the mapmyrun app for recording my workouts. I downloaded an app called ‘stay alive’ which means the watch will constantly stay on the most recent app which is perfect for running so i can see my stats as i go. The always on display didn’t do the trick when running as the mapmyrun app would be swapped by the always on display default clock screen. Went for the 40mm and it fits really well. Nice and sleek and really comfortable. Lots of different watch faces to choose from and download.

Would highly recommend watch. Not sure what the bad comments are about, i didn’t expect this watch to be as good as the apple iwatch. However as i don’t have an iphone i’m not able to get one myself. But this is a great alternative.

Battery life is amazing easily lasts for 2 days. It never lags, very fast processing. Its features are useful and fun. I use it for work out as well and it’s everything you’d need. The only con i’d say is that it doesn’t have google pay. It has samsung pay but i don’t use that. Anyway, would recommend for everyone.

Previously had the huawei watches until they failed and decided on the gwa2 after no new decent wear os watches. Overall very happy with the product even though less apps to install, but plenty of free watch faces can be had. The best part though is that there is no need to disable bt for the watch to use its built-in gps unlike the huawei watches. The exercise, steps, sleep and heart tracking is perfect and can be synced to google fit (huawei watches can not sync to google fit). Overall highly recommend unless a better wearos watch is released.

  • Excellent smartwatch – very pleased

  • Where is the combined charger for samsung s10 and the Samsung Active Watch?

  • Finally found the perfect mix of looks and functionality

This is my first smart watch. Works very well with my galaxy s10+. I bought a black tpu cover case for protection because is very easy to scratch the aluminium sides of the watch.

I use it for sleep and step tracking, also for stress management. I get a notification when i’m too stressed, and it gives me breathing exercises. I also have a couple games i’ve downloaded, burns through some time when waiting around. The battery generally lasts 2 days, sometimes a bit less if i’ve been using it a lot. Been trying to convince my girlfriend to get one too.

About the sleep tracking i had a huawei watch gt 2 for 2 days and that one had a more detailed version of it. The design is absolutely superb, it is light and i barely feel it, i have the 44 mm version and other thing that i like about this watch is the customization which is top notch. The battery is ok, if you only check time and notifications i guess it lasts more than the the spescs say, but for intensive use it will last a little over one day. In other words i am very happy with this smartwatch which is indeed smart.

Would of given 5 stars but all my enclosed booklets and instructions were in italian. I would like to receive the english ones if possible?.

Really enjoying my active2 so far. However be warned that, when i first received it, its default language was in french. After being burnt with samsung pay in french, my heart sank. However, halfway through setup it corrected itself to english. I havent seen any adverse effects from its french beginnings yet.

Make sure this fits
by entering your model number.

It’s ok i guess, but wish i’d brought the fossil gen 5 instead. Samsung app store is garbage. 99% of items/apps on samsung store are just watch faces. And i am having trouble getting the £50 cash back samsung say serial of watch not recognised. Updatesorted cash back in the end.

I’ll be having this watch for many mwny years. Worn every day and most night. I’ve increased my walking exercise which is also good for my lively dogs. I like to review my status every couple of weeks and i’ve noticed better heart rate due to increased energy levels and eating healthier foods to improve fitness.

This is everything i expected it to be. It’s comfortable to wear and looks good whilst still doing all the things i need it to. I have hrm and gps on all the time and the battery will still do 2 days from full to dead. Automatic activity detection works well, it starts and stops accurately. Overall, it’s easy to use, the ‘rotating bezel’ is really cool and the built in apps are handy to have. The notifications work well. Mine is paired with an s9 and cancelling my early morning alarm with my watch is great. Texts, emails and whatsapp messages are all easy to read and quick replies means my phone can stay in my pocket. I did a lot of research before buying a smartwatch and decided to hang on for this version 2 once it had been announced. It was a good decision because i love this watch.

I waited for ages before buying this watch, and have had mine now since october. As a basic smart watch it’s great. Thin and looks fantastic, amazing display etc. However, i bought this specifically for the fitness and ecg functions, believing that the ecg function would be available in q1 of this year. It isn’t, and still no news on when available. This is a major failing and very disappointing. For fitness i find the automatic detection unreliable, and the actual hr inaccurate. Even when ‘always on’ the watch defaults back to it’s main display rather than keeping the hr display at the front. Sadly i find my old suunto quest a better watch for gym, running etc as it’s simple, and permanently shows me the information needed.

So i bought this and swapped it out for my iwatch series 4 and boy oh boy was it 100% worth itbattery life is 10 times better lasts me 2 days where as my iwatch only lasted a day, tracks all calories not just your active ones, so literally everything you burn in an entire day including what you burn during your sleep, auto detects your activity so if your walking / running etc it will automatically detect it, tracks your sleep without the need for additional applications on your phone, can input how much food you’ve had, how many coffees you’ve had and download a variation of clock faces. I also find this a lot more comfortable to wear during the night than the iwatch as it sits flatter on the wrist. The only thing i can not comment on is the lte as i havent activated that. The only other thing i will mention is that if you have a small wrist the standard 44mm wrist band that comes with it is very big and you’ll need to buy a strap that runs smaller.

I love the feel and look of the watch, it goes well with all outfits from sports training to nights out. The health tracking functions i take with a pinch of salt, as it’s not always so accurate, but looking elsewhere on the market there’s not many smartwatches that do. Overall it’s a good all round watch that does its base functions very well, with all the added benefits of it being a smartwatch.

Stay connected without your phone: leave your phone at home and still take calls, receive messages and make payments from your Galaxy Watch Active2 4G¹

To begin with, i was sent a watch running the polish version of the firmware not the uk so i have sent it back. I bought the watch because my fitbit versa had broken but after briefly using the active 2 for a day i managed to get fitbit to give me 50 percent off the versa 2 which is saving me a staggering £150 compared to owning this watch. After years of owning fitbits, since 2013 i can honestly say that this watch just isn’t for me. I like to monitor my heart rate, steps and calories burned. I also like being able to view notifications from text messages, whatsapp, fb messenger etc. I found that the active 2’s ability to do those things wasn’t as good as the fitbits. The heart rate sensor wasn’t picking up my heart rate as well as it should and the notifications are horrible, having to endlessly swipe left or right or glide your finger over the touch bezel is not very intuitive at all. When a new notification comes through you have to press the back button to get rid of itthe fitbit notification system is just like ios/android drop down menu, you can view all your notifications on one screen and swipe them away when required. I am used to charging my fitbit once every 5 days at a push. This watch needs charging almost every day which just doesn’t feel right. The fitbit just feels like part of your body that you can forget about, you can swim, shower and sleep with it on, not having to worry about charging it for 5 days. It chagres much faster tooto stop waffling, i think this is the watch to have if you want to work out without bringing your phone with you. If you don’t mind bringing your phone with you then there is no point at all getting this watch.

It is a decent time piece with a not too big face at 44mm. I like the software bezel and the host of other apps like spotify. My gripe was, it didn’t work with o2, so returned. Had i not signed new terms with o2 and was still with vodafone, i would have kept it. I notice some reviews online people give unfair reviews because their network isn’t supported; how is it samsung’s fault if the network hasn’t provisioned for the service?.

Be careful when buying this watch from amazon, my seller (only branded) was selling for £243 which is the same price as another seller who had bad reviews about not providing a uk version even though in item description it says its uk. The version i received was romanian, which means i couldn’t use samsung pay. Good thing is that this is fixable, you can google search ‘how to change galaxy watch region’ and theres plenty of guides although some are outdated and can be pretty confusing if you are not good with computers and modding. Get a refund if you dont have uk version, its not worth the hassle to switch regionthe watch itself is very good but the sellers are not.

Perfect as good as i watch and fitbit and just ahead of fitbit as does more also heart reader is spot on can’t wait for each to be brought in so i can test at work.

Update: i am returning this item due to it not being compatible with samsung pay in the uk. After looking at the reviews its baffling to understand why amazon are continuing to allow these cowboys to sell this product as a ‘uk version’. So the product advertised isn’t the one you’ll get, but i haven’t so far experienced why that would be a problem. The watch has been manufactured in italy (contrary to what’s been advertised). I’ve obviously given it a good scrub. Runs as expected in english though and connected to my phone fine (ee network). Works with strava, whatsapp and all the rest of it. I was a little concerned with the packaging. Although unopened and fully sealed, the watch had no films or covers. For example the apple watch is covered and wrapped in all sorts of protective screens.

I have owned smart watches/fitness trackers from all the major producers and while they were all excellent in their particular area, i always felt each one was missing something the other had. I sceptically bough the active2 after reading some great and not so great reviews, and can honestly say i love it. Battery lasts almost 2 days with hr on continuously (which is unbelievable considering the interface and screen quality), interactions with the watch are fast and i have yet to experience any lag, the screen is beautiful, sleep tracking accurately identifies my sleep and naps, even the floor count works fine for me (despite reading reviews stating otherwise), so all in all i can’t really find anything to complain about except maybe that the stainless steel should be advertised as rose gold and not plain gold (as it is not really a yellow gold but a pinkish one). Would recommend and have recommended this watch to anyone looking for ‘a bit of everything’ in a piece of technology that easily crosses into the elegant side as well.

Intelligent wellness: using multiple sensors and real-time data, the Galaxy Watch Active2 is a lifestyle and health partner on your wrist

I ordered the 40mm version for my wife as well as this 44mm version which both have now been delivered but i am sure there was a free samsung ep-n6100 wireless charger duo if you pre-ordered the watches therefore there should be two of these chargers delivered.

I’ve been using this watch for just over a week now and am very pleased with it. Unlike much of samsung’s target market, i have no interest in using it for sports or health, apart from the pedometer. I wanted a decent smart watch for emails, news, twitter etc and this looked like the best option. I chose the 44mm face with its larger screen. Which version to get?it was far from easy deciding whether to get the 4g (lte) or bluetooth version, but was much helped by a review from andrew martonik, ‘should you buy a samsung galaxy watch with lte?’ (can’t provide link, sorry) who pointed out there are few benefits and much additional cost with the 4g. As i don’t always have my phone with me, i’d hoped i could slot in a pay as you go sim, but the watch does not take a sim at all, so it would mean another phone contract. So i went for the wireless version. Chargerit came with a dinky little charger, a magnetic disc about the size of the watch itself, though i was sorry to see the charging cable was only one metre long. This is a real issue as most of my sockets are at floor level, so the watch hardly reached a table or work surface to charge. It doesn’t take long to charge (a couple of hours maybe) and the charge lasts about two days, which is fine.

Although in the listing it was mentioned that the watch was the uk version, the one that was sent to me was the romanian version, therefore samsung pay was not supported.

Vodafone V-Kids Watch – Good idea, poor execution

Son loves his new smart watch. Well made, location accuracy not always the best but my iphone xs max is sometimes off too. The general location coupled with voice notification should be enough if we needed to local our son. Worthy purchase if you can buy it on offer like i did. Not to sure it’s worth the full rrp. Setup isn’t straightforward so be prepared to spend sometime setting it up. Once the product is all set up it really is a good piece of kit, it takes little time to go through the process with the vodafone sim but it is worth doing. It is easy to voice message and gives me peace of mind with the sos function built in, the games are a good feature to keep the little one entertained. The gps tracking works well with the vodafone signal and no problems so far. Love this, it’s a brilliant well designed product but the battery life is very disappointing. Esta muy bien, yo se lo he comprado a mis hijos y es casi exactoen la posición aunque podrian mejorar la interface e incluso

Motast Smart Watch : Works exactly as you would expect

Bought this watch as a gift for hubby, and it is keeping him very happy. Not only it looks good (and very handsome) on his wrist, the battery life is long enough, he has so far only charged once when it first arrived, and it has been going strong ever since. Have yet to try the other functions, but to be honest, for us, the good look and long battery life is the two most important factors when comes to choosing a watch. Loloverall, very happy with this purchase, highly recommend it. I loved itarrived in brilliant condition and the very next day after i brought it too, arriving in a sturdy solid box making it very secure and safe from any knocks and bruisesi bought this beautiful watch for my husband. He had expensive smart watch before but get broken. I really was thinking i will get chip one now temporarily and late buy different. But now my husband love his watch so much. Came in a small box along with an instruction booklet, charging cable. It was already half charged when it arriv
