Bought this watch for my 7 year old son to have some more freedom over the summer holidays and so that i could keep track of where he was and get in contact with him. Set up was simple as followed a previous reviews step by step instructions. Its a nice size not too bulky for a 7 year old. My son loves it thinks its great that we can both phone eachother and i love that i can track where he is at. We usually charge it overnight and the battery last for 1-2 days. Excellent customer service with a small problem we had. The screen had a crack down it after 9 months use this causing us unable to answer phonecalls and use the swipe facility on the watch. Contacted customer services who were first class and offered a free repair. We have recommended the watch to alotof our friends with kids as its such a great item for kids to have who are not old enough to buy a watch yet.
I have been looking for a tracking watch for my eldest who is 9 at the end of the month so i can always be in touch if needed when we are apart (school trips etc) and i came across this one. The watched arrived next day so i was happy with that. I opened the box and was pleasantly surprised at how light the watch was. I took it to the nearest phone shop and got a 2g sim card (ee), ee set the sim up and the watch was ready to go. I put £5 credit on there so my daughter can one ring me if she needs and i will call her back. You need credit on the sim for them to call you. I like the message tool on the watch as you don’t need credit to use that, the child simply holds the button on the watch and can send you a message straight to the app. Prosaccurate with location, glitch once or twice but sorted itself out after a minute or so. I like that you can set alarms through the app and set school time mode so child cant receive calls when at school. Parent is in control of the phone book. Pedometer functionconsbattery lasts about a dayapp gets the odd add pop up when you first open itapp can be slightly delayed when sending a message or receiving a notification.
The product is excellent and once set up warrants the full 5 stars. However the chances of getting it to work, using the poor instructions, mean that in many cases people will abandon the process and feel ripped off. In my view the product is brilliant but for most people is no good as it is far too difficult to set up using the instructions givenafter around 3 hours we eventually got it to work. I got this watch for my daughter, 8yo. I got it for the gps and the ability to make phone calls. There are some cool features too, like flash light (which is briliant), camera and a math game. There is also a function to find the watch through the app, if the child forgets where they put it. It is not as big as it looks either. She loves it and wears it even at home. The thing i love the most about this watch is that she can wear it on school trips and so i can track her (perfect for mums who worry where ones child is).
The watch started off great, knew exactly where my kid was at all times then we started getting network problems were the gps doesn’t track (i just turned off watch and took out sim card then put it straight back in and powered on watch and that seemed to work for me). Besides that wee hiccup it’s a great watch and would recommend.
The watch itself is fantastic, i can let my son have a little bit more independence and can see where he is on the map and message him when it’s time for him to come home. The sos feature is great as he can ring me if hes in trouble (fallen off his bike etc). Getting it to the stage that it is working is another matter. The instructions are awful, and don’t properly do the job. I got it working by repeatedly ringing the watch from my phone and taking the sim card in and out and suddenly decided it wanted to function, i had practically given up and was prepared to send it back when it kicked into life. Be prepared to fiddle about with it a lot and send those text messages to the watch multiple times before it will decide to respond. Our watch was set up for hong kong so we had to change the ip address. The app is ok and fairly straightforward to use. We’re using an ee sim card with ours and that is fine. I’d like to give this 5 stars but the painful set up means i cannot in good conscience do that.
This review will be useful for people who purchase this in the uk and also want to use it abroad. The first thing i did was buy a giffgaff sim from a newsagent and then i went to giffgaff. Com, activated the sim and purchased a “goody bag” for £10 which gave unlimited texts and unlimited minutes for a month and also included eu roaming. It is not immediately obvious but when you put the sim in the watch you have to have the shiny metal bit facing up. I then turned on the watch and was able to call it – so far so goodi then downloaded the settacker 2 app – quite easy to set up but the watch was showing offline even though it was on and able to receive phone calls. The first important thing to do was to check the watch settings by sending it a text message as follows:pw,123456,ts#a few moments later i got a text message back from the watch that showed it had an incorrect ip addres setting. This was resolved by sending the watch another text message as follows (nb this is for uk/eu)pw,123456,ip,52. 157,8001#at this point the app started working with the watch.

Yes like other reviewers have mentioned it is a bit of a pain to set it up. I had to contact alice at 9tong but she was very quick and sorted the issue straight away. As another reviewer has said, any uk sim card will work with this watch as all of them work on the 2g network. All i can say is if after following the setup steps it still doesn’t locate the watch, just email alice and she will fix iti have played around with the settings, tested the sos feature, located the watch and it all works well. The sound quality on phone calls is good too. I would recommend this watch. Hopefully my son will love it too.
This is the second model we have had. Sadly, the original one did have some issues after 9 months and would not charge anymore (usb). We then shopped around for a more tween looking one, tried it out (lbs was useless, wouldn’t communicate with the app ie changing settings was impossible) and got so frustrated we sent it back. Just set this one up, following one other buyer’s instructions. Working out which way the sim needs to be inserted was probably the longest step, from then on it was the smoothest set up yet. Gps location accurate within 5-10m, adding phone book entries also nice and easy. Longevity needs to be seen, but it’s still better having this strapped on as opposed to a mobile phone that easily gets forgotten. New style magnetic charging port a big improvement.
For the price and what it does this gets 5 stars. I only give it 4 stars because i had a few issues with the set up. However don’t let this put you off because 9tong are really helpful and will give swift response to emails. I had issues with the sim card at first. You need a 2g sim card, the issue is that lots of the cards say 2g, 3g, & 4g but the one we got still didn’t wok. In the end we got a giffgaff card because the other reviews recommened them, which sorted the problem. We brought 2 watches because we didn’t want to have issues with charging. There are several apps that the watch works with. I would strongly recommend the one called find my kids which costs a few pounds but works really well. When the location is established using gps it is really accurate.
Overall we love this watch, it’s perfect for our 10 year old son who is on the verge of wanting a phone but we dont really want to take that step. He was so excited when he opened it on his birthday. Like the other reviews, setting up is the most difficult part but using the really helpful instructions left by a couple of previous reviewers (who obviously know their tech) we managed to get it set up within a couple of hours. Be patient when sending the messages to check for ip address etc, i sent s couple as i was inpatient and it just used more of the watches credit.Accuracy for us is very good pin pointing exactly where he is, and now that we have reduced locating down to every 10 minutes battery life is also pretty decent. The app is very good and everything to do with the watch can be controlled through it. Notifications are also good, even telling us when the watch has been taken off. The look of the screen may be a bit on the young side (babyish for a 1p year old) but it hasn’t bothered our son and all his mates still think it’s cool, so much so one of them is also going to get one so they can chat to each other. Customer service is amazing, we sent a couple of queries and these were answered very quickly and clearly. Would definitely recommend this product.
Great having sos numbers and able to monitor if needed. Great being able to set up more than one geofence – i currently have one for home and one for school. The tracker is not that accurate on lbs so i get alerts when he hasn’t left his geofence which is not good if your child wanders however mine doesn’t. My son loves the rewards function. The battery is not great maybe due to real time tracking so charging nightly.
A 4 star because the watch was a little tricky to set up but if you follow the instructions exactly, everything should be fine. I had an issue with connecting the app on my personal phone to the watch, but i followed the instructions (which eventually meant emailing support) but they got back to me with exactly what to do with my particularly issue. They were responsive and very helpful.I use it mainly to track my daughter’s location, and to be able to message and call her (and vice versa). You control all the settings yourself from the app on your own phone, which keeps parents’ minds at ease and in control. Along with the watch i bought the giffgaff sim for 1p and it works fine.
All in all this is definitely worth the money. Pop the sim card in and install the app on your phone. Phone works great, easy to use and nice clear sound. This is the main thing i use the watch for so for me that’s essentialthe camera function is nice. I had trouble trying to get my daughter to keep the last one with her, but the ability to take selfies fixes that and now she wants to wear it outthe gps works fine outdoors. The last phonewatch had wifi positioning and i don’t know hi ow w that worked or why its not on this model but the gps is reliable enough. But since you can call them anytime anyway that’s not a massive. Problemthe main weakness with the watch is that network communication between the app and watch is unreliable and randomly stops working, and then randomly starts working again. Thankfully the app still updates the gps even when this happens and it doesn’t effect the phone features. Manual locate, setting alterations and remote functions won’t work when this fault happens.
I bought two of these watches for my kids and they are thrilled by the experience. They can call, but mostly, ‘send secrete messages’ to each other, we can reach them and check where they are. Also, they like the step count function and i see their effort to move more. But mostly, i was impressed by their customer service: we had some synchronization issues with the app for one of the watches and 9tong were reacting fast, giving several options to solve the issue. I rate it high and i much appreciated the helpful advice and effort: professional, kind and helpful customer service.
Product works great once you pass set up process. The problem with set up depends of the sim you choose. I tried giffgaff and o2 and it didn’t work at my area as both of this cards use o2 coverage (by the way o2 works fine at my area on 3g and 4g network but it doesn’t work on 2g)ewentualy i did purchase 1p mobile sim. Which uses ee coverage and it works great for me. Once you check which card is working good at your area the set up process is easy. However alice from costumer service is very helpful and can get you through all steps. I tried many applications with a watch. For example stepbystep and find my kid. But the app recommended setracker works the best. It gives very accurate location.
So happy with this watch, it does everything we needed. The item looks like the pictures and does excactly what the description says. We bought it for our daughter as friends started to knock on for her felt like she isnt the correct age for a mobile so this watch is very suitable as she canget hold of me by ringing or send a quick voice message. We can get her exact locations while she is out by useing the app, the great thing is too it has a secuirtyzone where you can set the radius to where you want, so once left that zone you recieve a message alert via app. The watch has a phonebook so you can control what numbers they store, i also love the rewrads so once your child is home on the time you say you can give them direct rewards from the app to the watch shows a loveheart on front screen with a number in so cute daughter loves that. App also has a watch finder incase misplaced.
My daughter loved it and she declared that it’s the best gift. She loves that she can call us, send messages, without having big phone. On the begging i had a problem with set up the smartwatch but seller customer service is amazing, they helped me and i managed to make everything work. The gps tracking work perfect but outside buildings. Battery lasts about a day but the program send you message that it’s low and need to be charged. Overall i would recommend this watch and definitely worth the money.
Very happy with watch, gps not always correct however the watch gives me great peace of mind as it is easy to phone or message the watch and very easy for my child to do the same. One note is i found the setracker app better than setracker2 and the sim needed has to be 2g which i had from giffgaff. I would recommend this watch.
I bought this watch as xmas gift and haven’t had a lot of opportunities to test it yet. I chosed this item following a long research, mostly based on others reviews hence i decided to write something hoping it will help someone else make the decision. First of all, i’ll only need to stick a little bow on the box and my xmas present is packed. It came in a nice box, something i didn’t expect for this price. I’ve read that many people were having issues with gps or cell signal, but mine worked fine. I ordered the giffgaff sim card that was on adverts related to this watch. I then put the sim into the watch, went onto giffgaff website to register the card and top up with credit. When that was done i switched the phone on and downloaded the app on my phone. It took me about 10 minutes to register the watch with the app, add 2 phone numbers to the phone book and make a test call. It was very easy to call the watch and also to make a phone call from the watch.
I have it on payg vodafone on their £5 big value bundle and the kids have not managed to run out of credit. The calls are as clear as you would expect from a product like this o have no complaints there. The step counter is rubbish it will count between 20-200 in a day he actually dose around 6000-7000the gps tracking is excellent out side but totally pointless if they are inside a building and gives a positions from down the street upto 2 miles away.Which then in turn makes the geo fencing function pointless. Both my children have one of these and we have never managed to get the friend function to work either. So if you just want a cheep watch phone for your child this is excellent great value for money and the kids will love it but if you want it for the other function don’t bother.
I had to write a review for this little watch because i am very impressed. It takes a while to make it work properly, instructions are very poor as highlighted in other posts. However after reading about sending text messages and contacting the support group, i managed to make everything work, even the pedometer and the messagesthis watch is awesome for the price you pay. My little girl (about to turn 6) declared it her favourite christmas present ever. She loves that she can call us, upload photos to us, send messages. She feels so empowered about being able to tell the time. The battery life is ok – it lasts a day and a half with good use. The gps tracking is perfect, it is only faulty when in buildings. Some other reviews explain exactly why this is. It doesn’t detract to it because the time when you really want to gps to work is when you are out.
I bought this for my 7 year old for christmas instead of the phone he asked for as i feel he’s to young after looking at a few different watches. On reading the reviews which are hit and miss i didn’t know what to expect as some have said it’s difficult to set up. I found it very straight forward i followed the instructions and it worked straight away. Fast forward to christmas day my son loves it and spent the day continually phoning everyone in the phone book. The sound quality is ok and he seems to hear and understand well. The main reason i got this is having a difficult relationship means to contact the children when there with either means having to phone their phone now it cuts out the angst and middle man and my son who has struggled to deal with the split can speak to them when ever he wants. The gps is ok it’s about 6 houses out from where we are but gives you the general area. All in all happy with my purchase.
My daughter has just started to go out playing with her friend. If we gave her a phone she would lose it, so this is the best alternative. We have put in a ee payg sim(we haven’t topped it up yet) and it works well for what we need. It shows her location within 5-10m. It also allows us to ring her and we can hear her clearly. The battery life is not amazing but it fine for what we need, it will last a 2/3 days of intermittent use(2-4 hours at a time). There isnt alot to the watch in terms of functionality, it calls, tracks, can recieve messages and has a pedometer, but for our needs that is good enough. The watch looks nice and is small enough to not look stupid on my daughters arm. The app you can use to track isnt the best(the free version has ads) but it does the job.
This watch is really good for making calls and sending voice messages which it is excellent for. I brought this for tracking and the gps shows my child is literally in another city as the live location is wrong. I have paid for the tracking add on to be exact and it is still massively out. So is a concern when this has been purchased for peace of mind. It is sometimes correct but it defeats the purpose of it is not reliable. Good calls, messaging facility and ability to send hearts and use pedometer otherwise.
I bought this for my son so we cab communicate whilst he is out playing. It was a pain to set up and the signal tends nor to work in buildings for gos and set up so first time setup needs to be done outside. For the price it is a handy piece of kit i love the way i control it it is better than sending a child out with a phone which has others. Great functions i will be buying guide a pink one for my daughter. Only reason i didn’t givery 5 stars is because set up was a pain.
Fab little watch for the money. Had a problem during set up but an email to the seller, they sent me a code to send by text message and it was all sorted ready for my daughter to wear on her school trip. My daughter loves the maths game and the fact she can take selfies of her and her friends. We’ve had one of these watches before only a different more expensive one which our puppy chewed to bits hence the replacement watch. But i would definitely say without a doubt this is so much better. It’s also good that you get a message to say that your child has taken off the watch.
Only four stars since the first purchase had an issue with location, but it could receive and make telephone calls. Anyway, i tried the support email address support@lvwxyz. Com which looked ominous, but actually the support was greatthe issue with the first watch was its ip address. I suspect a batch of the watches have cloned ips.Anyway, after a bit of try this, try that, they sent me a brand new watch and after issuing the same apn settings for giffgaff (see below), the location functionality worked like a dream and it is deadly accurate. It’s great non fussy watch and simple for a kid to use. I would definitely recommend this watch and to be sure of it working buy a giffgaff sim card with £10 on it to start you off. Follow the instructions in the booklet (i’ve left out all the crud), thus:-1) download the app to your phone by scanning the code on the watch screen/ instruction book. 2) register an email account with the app. 3) add the watch by scanning the back of the watch from within the app (very important).
I used someone’s set up instructions who had left them in the reviews, plus the instructions you get in the box, i used a gift gaff sim as recommended with a £10 bundle, one thing worth noting the watch is controlled by the app to set time phone numbers sos contacts etc and it must be online to set them. When i messaged the watch the ip address came back correct and i could ring it etc however when i tried to set the tel numbers for the watch phone book it was showing offline so i text pw,123456,ip,52. 157,8001# ensure this is typed in correctly. I love this so much the watch is great all the functions work although the guardian angel call facility is a bit hit and miss it often fails. But everything else is perfect such good value for money. I felt like i was taking a gamble due to the bad reviews but as far as i could see it was from people struggling to actually set the watch up. Follow the instructions and use the ones on here and you can’t go wrong. And my four year old can use it we’ve been practicing ️. Great great value for money.
Great product and great costumer servicei have ordered two of this watches. I managed to set one up and worked perfectly. I live in the middle east so i thought it would be difficult to set up. I could easily by following instructions. My 7 y/o son loves it and he managed to used it quickly. Making calls, sending voice messages, receiving voice and text messages and testing sos bottom. Unfortunately the other watch is not for some reading reading/ using the sim card. It does not seems to work with the watch. I followed trouble solving issues and nothing. I mailed the support with little expectation but i got immediate answer and help.
The watch is well made for this price as you can see on the pictures. It is easy to use – you can use two apps from app store or android store (find my kids or setracker2) i recommend ‘find my kids as it is much easier to activate the watch. Application is very easy to use and has a broad spectrum of options that work very well with the watch. The conversation with my child is clear – there is also an option to hear the child without him knowing, as you can see on the picture there is a usb cable included to charge the watch. I use sim card gifgaf and ee and everything works well so i highly recommend the product. Good value for money you spend on it.
We have had a few of the kids smart watches. Non are great, they all seem to have their flaws this one included but so far this has been the best one. We use this genuinely so our daughter can contact us when necessary as she goes to some clubs alone. Parts of it don’t work like the pedometer but the messages, calling and gps do which is what was important for us. It’s not 100% waterproof but splash proof. The camera is poor quality but the sound quality is good. We are happy with it as most don’t keep working and this is still working after 6months.
I bought 2 of these watches one each for my twin girls and they are brilliant. They act as a watch, tracker and they can make and receive calls which is a great practice for a real phone when they are a bit older. One of the watches had a malfunctioning error, however the customer service department were efficient, friendly and quickly resolved the problem going above and beyond with their service. I would highly recommend the company and product.
I bought this as my son who is nine panics me when he’s out with his friends he struggles to tell the time which this watch you can set up to 3 alarms, parents have the app on there phone can set up safety areas of they leave you get a notification it uses a really aim card i found giffgaff was the best and it’s tracks the watch using gps signal i now don’t need to panic and can call him to remind or to tell him he’s late. Setup is a little difficult but the seller is very quick at responding and talks you through it all. I have recommended all over my social media.
