Quite pleased with the look. Set up not the easiest, but easier when i got it out of french and into english. As far as running and tracking your run goes, its all great, no problems. You have to put it into a playlist in apple music or windows media player to sync with the watch as it will not accept normal mp3s. I’m fairly comfortable using computers (but not itunes) and this took me around half an hour. So far, so good but when i went for a run it transpired that the bluetooth skips. When i moved the watch to my right wrist or headphones upside-down it worked fine so i can only presume that my head is too thick for the bluetooth to properly get through. I can’t bear wearing a watch on my right wrist or headphones upside down, so this is going to be a problem for me and will probably keep taking my phone out running (which is part of what i was trying to avoid by buying this watch).
I have had my tom tom since april and have loved it. This is so sad as wear it every day. I was sent a new watch in december 2017 but tonight the strap has broken again in the same way. But i can not find an email to get support??.

I wanted multi sport for running and swimming. It is usually accurate for lengths, but not always. My main usage though is for running. It has a few different screens during your run – i find average pace to be the best screen. Here i can see how fast i’m going on average and the time i’ve run so far as well as distance. It then quickly uploads to the tomtom app and then strava. Only issue sometimes is that it takes a while to pick up gps but does always get there in the end. I’m pleased with it for the cost, would recommend.
I bought one of these in october and have loved it. It’s easy to use and a bonus is that i can see the time without my specs on. I’ve used it for running and swimming, and keeping an eye on my step count. Unfortunately a week or so ago it developed what looked like a bleed under the screen which started at the left hand side but spread over a few days till the screen was unreadable. I contacted amazon and a few days later received a replacement. I am delighted with this service.
Very happy with this purchase. The voice coach is great and i like the heart rate monitoring function. Battery lasts 4-5 days when just using the heart rate and step counting function. Music sounds great and the device has certainly helped me improve my running. The only slight downside is the shuttle function. It doesn’t snuggle your tunes very well. Often a track which was played 7-8 tracks previously will play again. Otherwise great device and great value.
Bought this as all the reviews said it did heart rate but this model doesn’t – the missing star is because of this. Otherwise it does everything it says and is accurate with gps good value for money at £69. I would say as a female this is not dainty or small and possibly better suited for a man – depends on your style preference. Sadly sent back as i need hr. Customer service from amazon excellent.
Only downside is battery life.
I have found this to be an excellent heart rate monitor for keeping track of my exercise activities. The app and web site which go with it give a great record of your activity; distance and route travelled is shown on a map and your heart rate is shown at each point on the map, along with your age related hr zones. It can also be used for indoor gym activity. It is comfortable to wear and unobtrusive. It gives a little extra encouragement to go out for a walk/ run/ cycle etc.
I use the watch every day in the gym. On walking holidays i end with maps of every day’s itinerary. When the gps is on battery only lasts 8-9 hours. I always charge the watch twice a day. This is the second spark 3 that i have bought.
The watch has a number of great features; the running,swimming and cycling part of the watch are accurate and easy to use. The static bike app is also easy to use and has a number of workouts which are handy to keep you motivated. The watch does however have an expensive achilles heel – the watch strap has a weakness at the part that clicks into the watch; i have had to purchase 2 new watch straps since i received my spark 3 watch. This is hugely disappointing; so much so that i have decided to cut my losses and by a similar watch from another manufacturer. If tom-tom could iron out the problem you would have an excellent all round fitness watch.
I use it for running mainly and a bit of cycling, one thing to note is that it wont support triathalon training. Battery lasts about 3 days but you need to update the gps every couple of days (this can be done either by plugging into a pc with the tomtom software installed or via bluetooth to a phone and syncing the watch. ) otherwise the watch struggles to get a signal. Heart rate monitor is a good addition too, and for me its better than carrying a phone whilst im running. Just what i need for a running watch.
This is a fantastic sports watch and the waterproof abilities make it so easy to use for most sports, i particularly liked being able to swim in the med on holiday whilst monitoring how far i was swimming. The only down side is that you can’t manually input exercise on the app if your battery runs out mid training.
Very easy to use and comfortable to wear, my only complaint is the battery does not seem to hold its charge for as long as i expected, but i purchased it to make sure my dogs and myself are getting enough exercise so it does the job.
Love this i have used it a few time now on 5 mile jogs and i am using the target function to keep to under a ten minute mile. The recovery function is good as is the general functionality. For moderate keep filters like me (gym 4 times a week – 5 mile jogs 2 – 3 times and bag work 2ice a week) this is perfect. I haven’t loaded my music on so can’t say about the bluetooth range but will update.
Size of the main display is great. Did take a long time to activate when going on a run and only syncs if wired up directly to laptop. Takes some time to set up as well. I dont find functions intuative, worth persavearing though. Did a factory reset which did improve activation time. All the stats are great and far better than running with a smartphone.
The clock is slow to update daily achievements, does not measure inactive time and only reflects the hours of sleep no specific. Tomtom does not intend to make more software updates as it will not get more wearables.

I would recommend it for running and indoor swimming. I’ve had no problems with the gps or strap, both of which have come under criticism in other reviews. In fact the gps works fantastically well for me and the strap seems pretty secure and sturdy.
I am a bit amazed at how capable this thing is. You can use it straight out of the box for simple stuff like counting steps, measuring distances etc and it’s easy to push the button around and find options. Take the trouble to download and read the manual and you can do much more with it. It really motivates me to do more and i’m very impressed with it. Another big plus is the large display so i can easily check heart rate whilst exercising without glasses. The strap is a bit of a letdown and i pop the unit out to make charging it easier and that is the reason i don’t give it 5 stars. I still think it is brilliant but there is room for improvement in the strap and charge connection.
I bought this watch for my son for christmas, he wanted a running watch with music & also one he could map his running route with.
I’ve had this now for 10 months & overall it has has been good but with a couple of issues. Firstly i have had to replace the strap as the original snapped. Thankfully tom tom sent me a replacement free of charge. Now for the main issue which is to do with the wrist heart rate monitor. If you are like me & exercise at least 5 times a week at a pretty intense rate, bikeing, power circuits, or running you will find the heart rate indication very in-accurate at high intensity. I have estimated it to be probably 20 – 30 bpm either too high or low. I have bought a blue tooth chest heart rate monitor in order to get an accurate reading. To be fare, i think there is still some work to be done by all makes of watch in order to get anywhere near a chest strap.
Heart rate, steps countinggood for different workouts – freestyle, gym, hiking.
Disappointed with the lack of heart monitor and the absence wasnt clear when i purchased ut. The strap has broken also within a few months.
