HUAWEI Watch Gt 2e Smartwatch – Great for staying digitally aware but not completely addicted to your phone.

Bought this watch mostly because the combo of strap and watch face type that i really wanted just doesn’t exist anymore. I got the lava red, though i am looking into getting a better strap. The tpu strap it comes with is nice, but i am just not a fan of the type of fastening it has. As a person who hasn’t worn a watch in almost 15 years, i can say, i have truly missed the feeling of looking at my arm for the time. I mean, how did i manage before?now, i get to see my heart rate, watch’s battery life, weather, time, steps and calories. How could i ever go back to a normal boring watch, or no watch at all. Oh, and it tracks sleep, now i have no excuse for not knowing how long (or little) i slept. :dit also tracks stress, but i don’t quite get the numbering all too well. I especially love being able to connect bluetooth headphones to this with so little effort. And use my watch as an mp3 player, which is truly wonderful. This was one of the features that got me to buy it. :di reduced the faces i like to clear, power and gallery, though i prefer clear. (it just displays all the info i like)you can also access a many number of other features, including a compass, which can come in quite handy.

First up, if you’re not interested in sports tracking, then buy this watch. It’s gorgeous to look at, light as a feather and works beautifully intuitively. If you’re an iphone user, be aware that you cannot transfer music onto the watch unless you can borrow an android phone off someone. Not even close enough to be acceptable. If you exercise in completely open spaces, you might just be ok. If you go under trees, forget it. It will cut corners or add big chunks to your route and you will see your average pace suddenly drop or increase by 30s per mile. It is very very irritating and distracting when out on a run. I gave it a good chance to adapt as well, thinking it might ‘learn’ my routes, but it didn’t. So i’m back with my trusty apple watch for running (gps spot on every time). That said, i do love this watch and i wear it the rest of the time as it’s so light and the notifications work well. And the battery life (the reason i wanted to move away from apple) is fab.

This is my first smart watch and so far i have been very happy with it. The watch is a good size but doesn’t feel bulky. The various watch faces are easy to select and use. The menu is straightforward to navigate. I’ve noticed a difference between distance/calorie tracking as compared to another app (i use endomondo). Not sure which is most accurate as both rely on gps. The huawei tracks under endomondo at the rate of almost one mile in every 12/13. Heart rate monitor is pretty much bang on. I’ve tested ‘manually’ alongside the watch and both measures come out the same. Message notifications are simple enough to set up.

Excellent bright screen which doesn’t wear out the battery. I charge it on average, every ten days. The app is in the development phase at the moment so has some limitations. It doesn’t ring my phone when i lose it-though it says it is doing so. Also the altimeter doesn’t link with the app, which is rather annoying as it’s extremely accurate, so i cannot record how much i have climbed on the phone, but can on the watch-bizarre. Watch faces fairly limited at the moment, but the one i use is the one that has the most information i need. Overall a great watch, with an amazing battery life. A little on the large side- but this makes it easy to see.

I tested it against the watch i replaced (fitbit) and the steps, heart rate, sleeping data was extremely accurate. This is the kind of watch you get if you want better visuals than a fitbit (mens and womens sizes), but don’t want to be fully connected to your phone. You can read any app notification, but you cannot reply. Another nice touch is that you can reject a caller also. The intent of being digitally aware but not controlled or magnetically sucked into your mobile device 24/7 wasn’t lost here. To be fully connected, buy the gt 2 smart watch.

I’ve only had this watch a few days, and so far, i love it. It does not pretend to do everything that an android wear smartwatch does, but everything that it does, it does well. I have previously owned a huawei w1 classic, which i returned, as it was just too flaky. Apart from that, its battery life was useless; especially if you wanted to use it for sleep monitoring. For the last 18 months i’ve had a huawei fit watch, which has decent battery life, but a dull monochrome display, and difficult user interface. That device provides in a decent sleep monitor (although it thinks you are asleep if you stay very still) and step counter, and when taken for a walk or run with a smart phone, combines gps data from that device to plot the route, using the health app, and computes stride length, cadence etc. It provides message notifications and vibrates when phone calls are received. It’s heart rate monitor takes intermittent samples, and is a bit flaky; sometimes producing erroneous, dangerously high, one sample long peaks. The huawei watch gt should be considered to be the replacement for the fit, and not a member of the w1, w2 smartwatch family. It starts with the functionality of the fit watch, adds to it, and removes most of its weaknesses.

Firstly, this isn’t really a smart watch, it’s a really good fitness tracker which is what i wanted. Everything works really well from the screen to the sleep and gps. My only problem so far is that the huawei health app doesn’t upload to strava just yet, hopefully they’ll sort that with a future update. The battery is as good as they say, i’m getting well over a week and i run quite a bit.

I’ve liked huawei’s watches for a while. I prefer them (and samsung watches) to wear os watches. The big difference between huawei and samsung of course is the operating system. Samsung give you far more apps, but huawei gives you much longer battery life. So do you want a smartwatch that does fitness on your wrist with a 2 day battery life, or do you want a stylish fitness tracker and watch on your wrist that also happens to handle notifications nicely and has a great battery. Well it doesn’t run androidwear or tizen. It uses huawei’s own ‘liteos’ which has a limited number of screens, no third-party apps and limited integration with other apps like strava. So it’s not really a true smartwatch when compared to most other smartwatches.

This is a very good looking watch and performs very well on tracking side of things. You cant add any apps which for me an absolutely no problem at all as i want to use it as tracking device/watch which it does very well to my surprise. The downside is that you cant watch independently to the app as the app on your device collected all the data. The other thing i do not like is that in exercise mode there are very limited options, i would like to have different sports mode like tennis, badminton soon or even general sports as the current app only has running, swimming /triathlon. The recent update got new faces which is very good but it makes the watch slightly slower in my opinion. Overall great watch slightly let down by the software but i can more than live with that.

I was torn between this and the mobvoi ticwatch pro, and it came down to a call between battery life and ‘proper’ smart features and in the end i plumped for battery life, and so far i think i made the right decision. The smart functionality of this is limited — you can get notifications from your phone, and store and play music from it, but that’s about your lot. No third party apps are available, so if it doesn’t do it out of the box then it’ll probably never do it. That said, what it *does* do it does very well. I’ve turned on constant heart rate and stress monitoring and they feel pretty accurate, and step counting seems to be fairly close to actual steps taken. Sleep tracking is also reasonably good; sometimes it will mistake ‘lying in bed watching tv’ for being asleep, but beyond that there’s a definite correlation between the score it gives me and how rested i feel in the morning. Hasn’t done anything to *improve* my sleep, but that’s mostly on meno idea how accurate spo2 and vomax are, but the readings seem reasonable so i will assume they’re at least in the ballpark and as long as you use them for comparison rather than treat them as absolutes you should be ok. The built in compass and altimeter seem to be pretty useless — i’ve tried calibrating them a number of times but they still seem to have a mind of their own — but they’re not something i imagine anyone’s going to actually use so can be safely ignored. Exercise tracking is nice; gps locks on quickly and tracks accurately enough, the summary stats are comprehensive and can even be viewed on the watch without having to faff with the app which is a nice touch. I’m sure it was supposed to autodetect exercise but that never seems to happen so either i misread or need to turn something on in the settings, but manually starting it isn’t exactly a chore. I’ve only used it for outdoor running, walking, and cycling so can’t vouch for stuff like swimming or any of the indoor activities, but presumably they’re all on a par. I went for the greenish strap and it’s super comfortable; soft and pliable but feels sturdy, and i can almost forget i’m wearing the thing — if i get a bit hot and sweaty then i need to jiggle it around a bit from time to time, but for the most part it’s only been off my wrist for charging purposes. I have very slim wrists so i was worried it might look ridiculous, but it’s actually not too bad; the shape and thickness means it doesn’t protrude too far, and the way the strap is seamlessly connected to the watch body stops it looking too chunky.

Great display, size, weight, battery. Everything about the watch is great. The problem is with the app that you have to use with it. There is one key problem with it, the step count. The app on your phone counts them as well as the watch which means you have great inaccuracies, google it, it has been an issue with the huawei health app for ages which may be why there are so many for sale in new, unopened condition. If huawei simply gave the option in the app to take the step count from one source, the watch would be a clear 5 star rating. Come on huawei, get your techies on it and you might sell more wearables.

This watch is very good value, light and comfortable to wear. It seems very accurate at tracking steps, with or without the gps (which locks on quickly). The heart rate monitor also seems to be accurate and the sleep monitoring is very interesting – better than i’ve experienced with samsung or garmin watches. The battery looks like it will last for more than the advertised 2 weeks, which is excellent. The downsides are the lack of watch faces (and lack of customisation) and slightly laggy interface, when compared with the galaxy watch. However, for the exceptional battery life, this might be a good trade off for many people.

The setup process was a little unclear but the hardware is fantastic; bright vibrant screen, big battery, accurate biometric and barometric sensors all packed into this tiny little thing. But the real star of the show is the number of updates they release for the watch. Practically every month they’ve improved the apps/features, patched bugs and made the experience smoother. Most of the reviews you’ll read on the internet complaining of stuttering animations are likely using an older version of the software and sadly you can’t install your own apps or watch faces. But the market is littered with watches with 1/2 day battery life, this one will last weeks and has a bright amoled screen. It’s years ahead of it’s time vs. Very pleased with my purchase. Vodafone V-Kids Watch – Good idea, poor execution

Son loves his new smart watch. Well made, location accuracy not always the best but my iphone xs max is sometimes off too. The general location coupled with voice notification should be enough if we needed to local our son. Worthy purchase if you can buy it on offer like i did. Not to sure it’s worth the full rrp. Setup isn’t straightforward so be prepared to spend sometime setting it up. Once the product is all set up it really is a good piece of kit, it takes little time to go through the process with the vodafone sim but it is worth doing. It is easy to voice message and gives me peace of mind with the sos function built in, the games are a good feature to keep the little one entertained. The gps tracking works well with the vodafone signal and no problems so far. Love this, it’s a brilliant well designed product but the battery life is very disappointing. Esta muy bien, yo se lo he comprado a mis hijos y es casi exactoen la posición aunque podrian mejorar la interface e incluso

INIUPO Kids Smartwatch : A++++++

My 6 year old son loves this watch. Charging and adding music is so simple. The battery holds its charge brilliantly for days. The option to add 10 contacts is great as well. The strap is very soft and comfortable to wear. I bought the gifgaf 2g sim card and it works perfectly. Nought for my son and he absolutely like it. The strap is soft and the screen is very clear. Battery life is good but he keeps fiddling with watch so it drains the battery a bit early. Apart from that, happy with the purchase. I bought this watch fory kid for her birthday , she loves this watch it has many attractive features with games in it with music and camera and many more , she’s is much in love this watch predent, it’s colour is very vibrant i highly recomnf it to buy. This is really good watch i brought it for my nephew. He was over the moon and really happy. Many functions on it and can also be used as phone, text message, camera.
