Very impressed with the tomtom. . More than what i really needed but i thought i may as well make the most of what tomtom had to offer and i wasn’t disappointed one bit. Only down side is that screen is easy to mark if you don’t protect it but due to my line of work it is difficult not too. . Highly recommended buying it if you want to keep track and enjoy the outdoors.
Great watch but unfortunately not all bluetooth headphones are compatible. Thankfully i got free ones from tom tom from an offer they had on.
This was a birthday/xmas present for my daughter. She does a lot of spinning and really likes it.
I use it when competing in obstacle races (ocr’s) and it has never let me know. Heart rate reading is very reliable also.
First thoughts were that it was an amazing bit of technology but the more i use it the more i’m annoyed with its flaws. Gps takes ages to kick in on a run sometimes and so a lot of the run isn’t recorded or you don’t start for 30mins whilst it’s searching. When swimming it doesn’t count all lengths of you do training like only kicking and not using your arms, and sometimes it doesn’t count them for no apparent reason. It counts steps but you wear it on your wrist and i don’t know how it counts steps whether with motion or gps tracking but sometimes it’s says i’ve done steps when i’ve been sitting still. It tracks heart rate which is cool, but now dubious over accuracy. It looks great, it’s waterproof and is a good fitness guide, it is a good product but i don’t think the technology is good enough yet. Music function works well and i only bought cheap £7 bluetooth headphones and it’s fine.
This product truly fits my needsbought it based on reviews, comparing with others, and never having seen it live. Not a perfect fitness watch, but very close. Just needs little tweaks in future models.
Just received this last week and tested this for a various number of sports activities including swimming (in the sea) , running, playing rackets and football and find it amazing. Looks great and is very light. Not sure how the sleep function works as the hours denoted never match my actual sleeping hours.
Used to replace aging garmin forerunner 110, impressed so far. The battery life seems very good, the quick gps feature means i get a fix within 10-15 seconds usually. Much quicker than the garmin i had which could be minutes sometimes, not great if you’re ready to go. The 4 way directional button makes sense although pushing to the left to pause activity seems a bit hit and miss which isn’t great when wanting precise times and it’s including half a minute for waiting at lights or whatever. The music feature is great and although not tested outdoors it immediately paired with my headphones and haven’t had any problems which is good considering how slated this feature was when looking at reviews. I got this watch from amazon warehouse deals for £80 so based on that price i can’t fault and i’m very happy with it.
Had this watch since august 2016 (9 months). Bought off amazon for £179. 99 at the time with the bluetooth head phone option. This does everything i want it to do. I do a lot of exercise, non at any sort of high level, but find this superb. Great for running, pick up is generally pretty good, very accurate. Good for gym work, monitors everything you need. Recently started using for swimming, even counts your lengths so it doesn’t matter if you lose countgood for cycling as well. I leave it on at night and it measures how long you are sleeping for. Also counts your daily steps.
Had this watch for several months now and highly recommend it. I haven’t had any issues at all with pairing it with the supplied tom tom headphones or pairing it with my phone to upload my routes. The strap however did start to break a few weeks back but tomtom are supplying me with a new strap so the support also works.
It would have 5 stars if it came with adequate instructions on how to use it.
Do away with the phone when running. Gpstakes a minute or two tofind you. Music only goes on in playlists from a computer and had to resort to using itunes to create playlists as i could not get it to use windows media player play lists (. Even the cardio seems reasonably accurate. Amazingly it is a great watch too because it is easy to see in bright sunlight. Here are the specifications for the TomTom Runner 2 GPS Watch:

Ok i bought this watch to help with my running – i am new to half marathon running and wanted to start increasing my time and be able to work to a pace. For running i find the heart rate true and the gps loaded quickly so didn’t have to stand in the cold waiting. With regards to gym work if you’re moving around a lot i think the wrist heart rate monitor isn’t ideal. I have notice with weight training it will vary to if my hands are in the air and so on. Also when i am teaching aerobics classes i think because you are jumping around so much no matter how tight it is once you’re sweaty it is going to move and therefore not be all that accurate. Pair it with a chest strap though and you’re good to go. With regards to music, tried to pair my bluetooth headphones it didn’t work. Reading the other reviews i kind of expected this.

Great product although the notification from your phone e. G text leaves a little to be desired.
Easy to use, one thing i would say is to regularly plug into computer to get updates. Registered for the free bluetooth headphones but say it can take upto 90days cannot wait to try the music player.
So i delayed writing this review until i had used the watch for several months, i bought it back in november 2015. I’ve used it running, cycling and indoor cycling and working out. Firstly, i use the watch with 2 different headphones – mpow petrel in-ear headphones and plantronics backbeat fit headphones. I use the mpow petrels for indoor gym work (sealed sound) and the plantronics for running outside (ambient noise is good here & sweatproof for high intensity sessions). Both sets of headphones pair perfectly with the watch. The plantronics work fantastically and have never cut out, the mpow petrels will cut out (occasionally) if i have my watch on the opposite arm and down by my side. To the reviewer below, i presume that since you sent the watch back you didn’t get round to updating the firmware on the watch – this may help with any issues. Battery life is great, i have used the watch on consecutive days without charging (2x 3hr cycles+gps+hrm but no music and 1x40min jog+music+gps+hrm). I sync the watch with my sony xperia z1 compact and have not had a single issue yet (touch wood). The mysports app is great for heart rate zones but not much else and i use it with strava (auto-syncs) to check out segment times and leaderboards etc + the whole social aspect.
Superb product very high tech, easy to set up cardio use with no belt is great ,music options make it stand out from the crowd and is worth the extra money,will have a cadence sensor soon in order to take full advantage of all the features well done tom tom,of course all arrived in time ;-).
