HONOR MagicWatch 2 46mm Smart Watch – Nice watch, decent battery life, doesn’t drain my phone

Good news update: huawei has added the blood oxygen level in its latest international watch version. I would buy this watch again if i had the choice. The quality of the watch is great. It performs better than well. Now that i have smart devices in my house i only wish huawei would figure out a way to connect the watch via their app to google home so we can use google assistant via vocal commands. The receive call bluetooth option works fine because the sound is good. That is a great + for that watch. I slept with the watch and because the band is comfortable and the watch is light enough you are not bothered. The sleep tracking is amazing.

Good watch super watch is better samsung i think is everything simple and everything understands easy good watch.

In my opinion, there are no flaws in the quality of this deviceit’s simply great at tracking everything. Great price too and i love that it’s not a full smart watch. Just the extra option of viewing texts and answering calls is great for melooking forward to taking this badboy swimming after lockdown.

Douglas adams would have been proud as i sat there during the coronavirus wearing 2 digital watches, working from home. Definitely a candidate for the second space shipanyway i will keep the review short as there are a plethora of great and well balanced reviews on youtube. Background: android user, android smartwatches from day 1, huawei watch 1 is still the best form factor by a long way, current day2day watch is the samsung active 2 46mm. The magic watch 2pros -battery, as everyone suggests, is awesome, with everything running at full functionality including an odd version of alwayson, 7 days easy. So i have no doubt 2 weeks is achievable. Build – really nice, in fact probably the best i have used since the hw1, but do get screen protector (hw1 had sapphire glass)aesthetics – again the best i have seen since the hw1, a proper watch rather than something that looks like it should be hanging on the back of a fairground coconut shy (i’m looking at apple watches there)screen – bright and the highest resolution by a country mile (though my old eyes can’t see the difference)however, the software and performance are enough for me to return it back to amazon and continue with the active 2. Performance – it’s sluggish and stutters, not as much as android wear on most watches, but compared to the samsung, it now seems frustrating. Press a button and there’s a noticeable delay, scroll the menus and you end up opening the wrong app or function and yet more delays. . Functionality – i knew that i couldn’t respond to messages, but the way they are presented in a long list is less than ideal and though tweets and other short messaging systems show full text, emails don’t. You can’t remove individual or even groups of messages either.

It is exactly what you pay for. Very happy with this smart watch/ fitness tracker. Well, more of a fitness tracker than a smart watch. Overall, beautiful product , high quality materials, easy to use.

I’ve had two garmin watches, apple watch and without doubt find this is the best. Great display, lots of fitness monitoring, light and very comfortable to wear. Pairing and app update was ridiculously quick. Yes, for notifications it can’t touch the apple watch but for fitness it’s brilliant. The only negative i have is that i can’t download music to it because i’m totally locked into the apple ecosystem. If anyone works out how to do this i would be forever in your debt.

This product is more advanced than most fitness trackers, but not as advanced as most smart watched. It occupies a territory in between, where few others tread. I bought this to replace my garmin hr+ which may explain why i am so pleased with it. The garmin software was poor, linking it to a phone or pc was exacerbating. The honor watch is so much more. It’s tracking is precise, its sleep and heart monitor accurate, and it is one of the few fitness devices that has rowing as on of its monitored exercises. I confess i’d like a little more options for watch faces, and there are no other apps one can add since it isn’t android. But it does display text messages, vibrate when the phone rings, and can be used as a makeshift method to take a call (it has a speaker and microphone). So despite its shortcomings, it has a lot to offer, and it just so happens that what it offers is all i need. I should say one thing about the battery life.

Don’t hesitate to buy this product. It’s just been updated to take blood oxygen readings as well. I really can’t fault this device for the money it costs. If one thing could be improved it would need to be the watch faces. Battery life is also incredible.

Hello everyone, well i read some of the reviews on here before purchasing this smartwatch and yes i purchased despite some of the poor reviews. I have to say that so far i have not had any problems, setting it up was easy, it linked to my phone in seconds the battery life is awesome. As for the accuracy who knows would have to get checked in hospital to find out for sure but it all seems about right. The alarm and txt messages/phone call works well. It has just done an update and measures your o2sats now. I would recommend this watch to everyone who wants a smartphone.

It’s really great, battery life is about 12 days for me with my usuals (gym and sleep tracking etc). You can get more faces using an android phone and a chinese huawei id in the app. The sleep tracking beats the apple watch hands down. Yes there’s no app store but you don’t really need one, it does everything you need it to. The size and weight are also just right for a taller man. It’s nearly identical to the huawei gt2 but for less money so keep that in mind if you can’t decide between them.

Very well made with plenty of features too numerous to mention. Very good training programmes etc. Does all you could wish for from a good quality smart watch. Battery life depends on how much the numerous features are used. Many different coloured replacement straps available on internet.

Really love the look of the watch that’s why i bought it as i don’t really like the design of the apple watch. So i tried it for over a week and for me the readings it was giving me weren’t accurate enough.

I’m not a fitness fanatic but like smart watches and find many of the features useful. I have owned a pebble classic and more recently a samsung galaxy watch 42mm. The samsung watch was fantastic for just about everything but the battery life was 2 days max and the bluetooth connection was constantly dropping out (i tried all the published fixes but nothing worked). I decided to try this watch from honor after doing some research, and so far i am very impressed. It has all the features you could need. The battery has dropped from 74% charge out of the box to 50% in three days. With it being new i have been constantly tinkering with various features and settings to get it set up to my liking, so it has been well used. I have also been on an 8 mile bike ride. The watch tracked it precisely and gave me all the relevant data. I would say the huawei health phone app isn’t as polished as the samsung one but it does the job and most people would be happy with it. Important: if you don’t know what ‘side-loading’ is on android, you probably don’t want to buy this watch. Due to trump’s trade ban, the ‘huawei health’ app can no longer be downloaded straight from google play store. You can still download it using 3rd party app stores but if you don’t have the technical know-how, this will be painful. I’ve been using this watch for a week now and i’m really liking it. It has quite a few glaring flaws but for what i want it to do, it’s perfect. Here’s a breakdown of pros and cons:pros:-battery: its battery can last for a week even in the worst case scenario. If you are concerned with extending this, you can probably get to 2 weeks. Honestly, this was the primary reason for me buying this watch. I just can’t be bothered with charging it every night. -build quality: watch feels solid.

Looks premium quality and feels good on wrist. Got this at a bargain price of £125 when on a 2 day deal.

Like the heart rate and step count – still trying to get the spo2 to work. Loads of faces to choose from. Bought for the ability to store tracks and play using wireless buds whilst running without the need for a phone. Be prepared for a poor transfer and management of mp3 songs. Why cant i just dump a folder of music and have it play in the order of the files copied?. The watch wants to arrange alphabetically, or by artist or something. But not as i want – as the copied files are. Transfer is very slow and only via phone bluetooth. So you have to download a track, put it on the phone, connect phone to watch, open app on phone, transfer files over which takes forever. Then find out that the order of songs is not as you want.

This watch looks good but unfortunately the huawei app on the android play store is not compatible now andriod and huawie have parted company, the only way to get the watch to run is to download the huawie mobile operating system onto you andriod device, this takes uo 500 mg and installs another operating system on your phone, and as to be done using a aspk file sideloaded, this is something i was not prepared to do on a new phone to invalidate my warranty, so unfortunately had to return it, amazon should nmake this clear on their advert that the phone is not compatible to an android device. ]

At last a smart watch that will last up to two weeks before needing to be recharged. Other features i like is the ability to change watch faces from the selection on the phone app (huawei health). Fitness mode is handy, i have tested this for outdoor walks and having the built in gps you are able to get a map and other stats on the app connected to the watch. Sleep mode is useful, only tested this out once and it does work. Don’t particularly like wearing a watch at night when sleeping maybe beneficial to others. Due to the phone having an inbuilt speaker and microphone you can make calls through the watch as long has you have linked it via bluetooth to your mobile and added contacts via the app. One feature missing is the ability to get offline spotify playlists on the watch. You can add your own music to the watch and listen through bluetooth headphones or the watch speaker or you can control music on your phone via the watch music control. Would be great if this feature was ever added in the future. Overall a very impressive smart watch.

I bought this to replace the highly impressive huawei watch 2. I wanted the always on display and added fitness (firstbeat) capabilities of this watch which make it outstanding and comparable to garmin watch at a half of the price. I would compare it closely to the 245 music in terms of fitness features. But this watch is also a very attractive everyday watch. The smart features are limited but i has everything i need. The bluetooth phone calling is another huge bonus. The stress monitoring i find very interesting and seems accurate as does the sleep tracking. I dont even notice the watch on all day and night. Cannot comment accurately on the 14 day battery life yet but with listening to music and running 3 times a week with always on and continuous heart rate on i’d suggest 7 days. To conclude this is a fantastic fitness watch. It is exactly the same as the watch gt2 with very minor cosmetic differences.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Great quality and performance, but needs little software improvements to be the best

  • Impressive smart watch

  • Spectacular!

Don’t know what to say but wow picked up for £125 while on offer for 2days and i love it does what galaxy’s to at a fraction of the price and even got honor phone’s for the family spot on with performance brilliant thanks.

This is a great basic smart watch with really good battery life. I’m on a pixel 4 xl and maybe that contributes to me not being able to do certain things with this watch. I’d like more flexibility for syncing directly with other fitness apps, like stava or trailforks. The huawei health app does integrate with google fit, but then you have to use a 3rd party app ‘syncmytracks’ to sync with strava. Maybe my location in the usa limits features because there is supposed to be an option in the huawei health app to add watch faces, but it doesn’t appear on mine. Getting the phone notifications to work well has also been a challenge, when a call comes in, it really wants you to answer the call on the watch, but this may be user error. I know that seems like a lot of complaints, but otherwise, it is has impressive sleep tracking, the heart rate monitor is much more accurate than my previous fitbit hr 2 and it also provides some stress tracking, which is interesting, but i’m not sure how useful.

Great watch with plenty of shields. Loads of usefull functions and cheaper than huawei.

I bought this after going through a mountain of internet/youtube reviews. My previous amazfit bib failed – so was time for a little upgradewhat do you get?. Yes, this is not a full ‘smartwatch’ as you cant install any new apps on it, as you do with apple or android wear. But, you get a sharp gorgeous amoled screen, and its big 46mm.And you get all this:- you get whatsapp messages, emails, reminders etc. You choose what you want to see- i have spotify and youtube music and i can control it on the watch. You just need to have the health app running on your phone- gps tracking which locks quickly and several work out modes – with spoken updates on training- yes, a speaker. You can take calls and listen through the speaker and the caller thinks you on your mobile, its that good microphone. You can also listen to music. But better connect earphones directly to the watch.

Its a great watch, i use it every day, the battery lasts for days about 14 days with one charge, u can change watch faces, store music on it to listen to or control ur phone, get up notifications and health stats make or take calls using the watch, plus more, i am well happy with my purchase.

Really nice quality, accurate and useful features. Originally, i was set on purchasing the samsung watch, which i really like, but after researching the market, i felt that it is seriously overpriced. The honor watch (a rebranded huawei gt2) is new to the market and attracts very positive reviews. The health app associated with the watch is comprehensive and makes installation/interface/data analysis a breeze. Great choice and recommended purchase.

I have owned a couple of cheaper tracker watches to date, and both failed within a year. I find the watches useful for both activity tracking and sleep quality monitoring. This time i was determined to purchase something that lasted and had a meaningful warranty. I set my budget at no more than £150, which ruled a lot of more popular watches out, but the huawei watch gt2 and honour magic watch 2 were options. I chose the magic watch, because it seems to be virtually identical to the gt2 option, but at a slightly lower price. I have a samsung galaxy a70 phone. To use the huawei health app that syncs with the phone, you first have to install their app gallery and mobile services. I had read a number of critical reviews, that suggested this process was difficult and buggy, so i decided to go through the install process before purchasing the watch. The install process was straightforward, and i installed the 3 required applications without problem, so i purchased the watch. When the watch arrived, i charged it, using the supplied magnetic charging base, which hooks up to the phone easily.

This is a great watch and works great on runs. But i find it’s not very accurate when you start sweating. It reads my heart rate much lower than it actually is when i’m sweaty. I can live with it but it’s not ideal.

May occur problems pairing with oneplus. But google has answers for the problems.

I’ve waited a couple of months to really give this watch a good testing before leaving a review. I’m an hgv driver delivering pallets so i would expect to receive scratches as i have done on all my watches. I can honestly say this watch is built incredibly well. Unbelievably it’s as good as the day i took it out of the box. I’ve previously owned smart watches that cost a lot more then this one and then found i was only using them for the time, viewing messages and notifications. I would also use the controls on these watches for playing music. The only problem was i was having to charge them up every night and they also soon got scratched. I’m able to do all that i require plus more with the magic watch. Its stylish, not to big, very resistant to scratching, fully waterproof for swimming. The sleep monitor was a great novelty to start with but after a while i turned that off as it wasn’t really any benefit. The alarm and timer facility is amazing. There is a large choice of watch faces to use including gallery so you can use your own photo as a watch face ( something my children complain about they cant do on there galaxy watches ;-).

It’s a nice watch, it seems fairly accurate but it’s really just something to give me a basic idea and track my health.

Amazing watch & also the battery life is top notch. If your using it to log daily workouts & using the gps, get about 7 days battery life. But for the amount i use it. Wish the app was better of iosmissing features like. Less watch faces & the stress monitor is only available on android phones. I would say this is better than the apple watch ️ i had.

Watch looks and feels great, very stylish and people comment on it. Like you can customise screen and some very good features with the hardware and fitness app. Great that texts and calls come through aswell. Only criticism and is a bit of an issue is the accuracy of the step counter, the reason i bought it was to keep track and it is not as accurate as other devices i have had.

Top quality smart watch everything working perfect. Brilliand honor support app downloading possibilities. Very accurate gps and barometer. In my appartment when i go on 1st flor showing 3 meters different than upstairs. Very fast gps reach position inside building too. So i can high recommend for everyone. Best value for his possibilities and design all 5 star feedback.

As a piece of hardware, this watch is fantastic, it’s just really let down by the ecosystem, so much so that it almost ruins it. The good:- accurate gps- long battery life- waterproof- sleep tracking- lovely clear screen- calls from the watch – i never thought i would use this but it feels like living in the futureso for example, i can put it on my wrist and swim in the sea and it will give me an accurate gps track and heart rate, that’s amazing full stop, let alone for the price. The bad:- for some reason, indoor workouts upset it, during warmup on my indoor bike my indicated heart rate will fly up to 190-200 when i’m barely breathing usually after 10 minutes it sorts itself but ruins the whole workout tracking. This, in turn, throws off the performance metrics, rest times, etc and you can’t correct them manually. – integration, the health app is totally closed you can’t export tracks to other apps like komoot or strava, you can’t even manually export a gpx from the app. If you manually request gdpr they send you a file with it in so there’s no technical barrier. If it had this i could even leave my phone at home. I get the feeling they want to keep you in the huawei app but honestly letting me do what i want with my data will make me more loyal not less. I’ve ended up buying a hrm chest strap just so i can track heart rate in other apps and use my phone to log which defeats the point a little. If you look at their product forums they have been promising strava integration for months and if they do release it i’ll give it an extra two stars.

Vodafone V-Kids Watch – Good idea, poor execution

Son loves his new smart watch. Well made, location accuracy not always the best but my iphone xs max is sometimes off too. The general location coupled with voice notification should be enough if we needed to local our son. Worthy purchase if you can buy it on offer like i did. Not to sure it’s worth the full rrp. Setup isn’t straightforward so be prepared to spend sometime setting it up. Once the product is all set up it really is a good piece of kit, it takes little time to go through the process with the vodafone sim but it is worth doing. It is easy to voice message and gives me peace of mind with the sos function built in, the games are a good feature to keep the little one entertained. The gps tracking works well with the vodafone signal and no problems so far. Love this, it’s a brilliant well designed product but the battery life is very disappointing. Esta muy bien, yo se lo he comprado a mis hijos y es casi exactoen la posición aunque podrian mejorar la interface e incluso

INIUPO Kids Smartwatch : A++++++

My 6 year old son loves this watch. Charging and adding music is so simple. The battery holds its charge brilliantly for days. The option to add 10 contacts is great as well. The strap is very soft and comfortable to wear. I bought the gifgaf 2g sim card and it works perfectly. Nought for my son and he absolutely like it. The strap is soft and the screen is very clear. Battery life is good but he keeps fiddling with watch so it drains the battery a bit early. Apart from that, happy with the purchase. I bought this watch fory kid for her birthday , she loves this watch it has many attractive features with games in it with music and camera and many more , she’s is much in love this watch predent, it’s colour is very vibrant i highly recomnf it to buy. This is really good watch i brought it for my nephew. He was over the moon and really happy. Many functions on it and can also be used as phone, text message, camera. Shows time in both format digital and analog. Looks really good too a

Vannico Kids Smart Watch Tracker Watch : Fabulously

I bought this for christmas present and i’m so happy that is really useful for everyday and less worries when we’re going out sometimes she running around and this is very helpful and easy to find her becuase it’s watch i’m not worried she’s gonna lose it the app is easy to find and set up and accurate every time. Got this for my son as we didn’t really know what to get him for christmas. It was super easy to set up and has been keeping our son more engaged in checking the time (i think the fact that it’s more than just a watch led to that enthusiasm). I got this for my niece and nephew and i saw blue and pink ones as an christmas gift they loves it. Very easy to set up and use and comes with many features. She particularly loves the camera and her mum loves it because she fells more safety, comfortable to wear and looks so high quality. Cool watch very easy to use no complicated menu or anything like that has all functions requiered for device like that ( but not stuffed with usele
