HUAWEI Watch GT 2 : Not friendly with Android – Install Guide Below

This watch is sleek and professional, (bought with brown leather strap) the light/face stays on all the time, looks fantastic, doesnt bombard me with tech but tracks my heart/sleep and lasts a week between charges. I love how comfortable it is, the fact it stays on 24/7 and is so descrete. If you don’t want apps and loads of rubbish and just want a beautiful watch which looks great with a suit/smart attire but is tracking your health and can alert you of important stuff from your phone go for this – you can also snap on the black watch strap and take it on a run, use a different face and make it more of a gym watch. Bad bits are there isn’t many watch faces, it’s hard to customise aa the options aren’t there and you can’t reply to messages on the watch – i wanted something sleek and simple with a bit of health and tech, very pleased with this watch. It appears bigger on photos than it is is real life, i’m 6ft av build and its a great fit.

Your browser does not support html5 video.  absolutely amazingif you’re thinking about getting a new smart watch and you want fantastic battery life, this is the one for you. The watch is so intuitive how everything is set out. All too often, smart watches can be quite confusing or have too many options. This gt 2 is, in my opinion, just perfect. There are dozens of watch faces to customise it and several more available to download. The charger is so small and plugs into any usb-c cable, then magnetised onto the bottom of the watch. It also charges reasonably quickly. The functions of the watch are great, with lots of different workout choices and exercises. It gets a gps fix really quick and, from my basic testing, the signal and tracking is good.

* update *for those using this watch on an android device the process to get it working is quite frustrating. So you download huawei health app. Fails to load as it needs huawei mobile services app (don’t quite understand why) to run the health app. So obviously the google play app is out of date. Firstly, search an install the huawei app gallery and download it directly from their website. Once installed, download the mobile services app and update within the app (should be an option at the bottom). Install huawei health app from huawei app gallery. Once these steps are complete it should work. Neither apps worked on goggle store or when i tried downloading them directly. They only worked via the huawei app gallery.

I did my research on this watch before i bought it like most of your probably have/will, however it did not meet my expectations if i was going by online reviews. The battery life is good but you will not reach seven days as promised. With bluetooth on at all times and no exercise tracking where gps is being used, perhaps you may scrape a fifth day if i am being generous. With gps on and a short 30min run every day you will maybe get three days of battery life. It charges in about an hour, so not the end of the world. The screen is beautiful, most of the watch faces are a tad, “meh”, but there is a few i liked and they do update them every so often. However, the screen size is deceptive. Certain watch faces will show you the screens true size, and the bezel’s on the outside are massive for today’s standards. On a positive, it is nice and bright the wayi like , so outside it holds its own in bright conditions. I had mine set to auto anyway and it adapts really fast without me noticing the shift which bugs me on my phonemonitoring though was spot on in all cases, heart rate especially.

I’ve owned a few smartwatches including the samsung later models and apple and until i was given a gt1 as a freebie by my phone operator i had no idea how good this watch was for everyday use. I upgraded to the 2 just because i wanted the silver case but its brilliant again with easily 7-10 days battery life and ridiculously fast charging. My apple and samsung watches were dead after about a day and a half. There is now a big range of free faces and the screen display is bright and detailed enough for any normal use. You can take and make calls on the watch which is a step up from the gt1 andit’s swim proof and pretty decently made so with a rubber strap you can wear it for most activities. The sleep tracking app is pretty decent with insights etc and overall its a great watch. If you would usually spend high end suunto/garmon money then this won’t be for you but compared to the apple, samsung and other mainstream choices this really is a good product.

From the minute i recieved this watch it felt like a high quality product. Set into a stylish box which contained the watch, a warranty, quick start instruction manual, a spare strap and a magnetic charching cable for a usb plug, (which is not included). I took about 10 minutes to fully charge after unpacking and then it was ready to go. You have to operate huawei operating app and huawei health app before you can start using the watch. There are a whole range of health , workout and other options to this great device. It is constantly tacking your heart rate , sleep patterns and overall activity records. It has a full range of workout functions that range from indoor and outdoor run, swim ,cycle to hiking ,swimming, triathlon, rowing and so on. This really is a quality peice of tech which can recieve and make calls , play music tell you the weather and a whole host of other useful functions. I really rate this watch and at the price it is at the moment , it is an absolute bargain.

I really liked the huawei watch gt but it definitely lacked some desirable features. This new version now includes some of these features, whilst retaining all the good points of the former version. It adds a microphone and speaker, which enable making and taking phone calls from the watch, music controls for phone or watch (you can upload music to the watch), a stress tester, a sleeker design and there are a few more watch faces and exercise options such as hiking. It retains and may even improve on the stupendous battery life of two weeks. The exercise tracking is extremely good still with incredibly fast lock onto gps. Please note that this watch does not attempt to replace your phone so there is no app store and very little integration with third party apps. Also you cannot respond to notifications. However, this all has the advantage of a minimalist simple interface which is ideally suited to a watch sized screen and that superb battery life. I always have my phone with me so appreciate the way this watch complements but does not intend to replace your phone. Overall excellent value for money at £200 and highly recommended.

It’s very nice watch, but i found some problems with the heart rate when you do some weight training it’s not showing you the right measurements it’s show you with 40 bpm lease then normal, but when you do outdoor running it’s very precise .

  • After many many hours of research, I chose this watch and am happy I did. (See update at bottom)

  • Detailed review of 42mm gt2 after a month’s use.

  • Highly recommended if you don’t need a phone replacement on your wrist

I’ve started running again recently so wanted to track my progress, i immediately thought about a fitbit. Started looking at smart watches and just spent ages. Ended up a choice, i thought, between the versa 2 and garmin vivosmart 4. I stayed to looking at the samsung galaxy watch but rejected quickly based on battery life, then this watch was suggested, and i have a huawei p30 pro phone (which is awesome by the way) so thought i’d take a look. The smaller (gt 42) size is good for me as i have a pretty normal size wrist for a bloke, so this watch doesn’t look overly big (it doesn’t look like a big smart watch) it is also very thin, no bigger than my existing mechanical watch. Screen is beautiful and clear with vibrant colours (loads of watch faces to choose from well) the gps works fine, sleep measuring is good too. Heartbeat and vo2 max all good. You can set running targets and can see stats and hear from a coach as you run, so you know how well you’re doing vs those targets. Loaded up 130 mps3 to listen to so don’t need my phone with me when running, just bluetooth to my earbuds. Annoying that it doesnt yet sync to strava (although i understand this is being worked on). The huawei health app on my phone is great. Lots of info so you can compare the same run pretty easily and see progress. Would be nice to be able to directly sync amazon music, but no great hardship to copy across a load of tracks.

I have used this watch for a month now and i’m very impressed. Battery life is brilliant, you could easily get a week or more depending on how you use it. This watch is not a smartphone on your wrist. You can cancel calls but cannot answer them. You can read notifications from any apps you choose to connect to the watch and you can read messages and emails, however, you cannot reply. Personally i like it this way, i do not want to talk to a watch and i do not want to type texts on a watch. There is no web browsing on this watch either, which i am also not bothered about. Smart watches that have all of these functions do not have as good battery life as this watch.I have used it in pools and showers with no issues and it still works perfectly in these environments.

Been wearing this the last 24 hours or so, and have to say, i’m glad i took a gamble and bought it. Very very easy to set up and use, especially if you’ve a huawei phone and already use the huawei helath app. Took me about 30minutes to figure out how to get music from my phone (needs the huawei music app) uploaded to the watch, and i’ve now got about 100 songs to listen to in work. Setting up all the things that measure your stress levels, health levels, heart rates. Literally takes seconds or minutes. I’ve used it in the shower (don’t bother listening to music in the shower with it as the water distorts the speaker lol) and not a problem at all. Changing watch faces is easy, and if you google i think there’s ways to get more variety too. Battery life seems to be good (previous galaxy frontier owner) compared to last watch which i needed to charge every day. First time i’ve had an accurate sleep pattern log too. Have taken to wearing it on the inside of my wrist as the heart rate monitor is far more accurate that way.

I lost many hours researching before choosing my first fitness/smartwatch. That was very hard work- watching endless youtube video reviews and reading many customer comments on amazon. I don’t think there is a perfect fitness/smartwatch. Battery life, hr accuracy, app/website support, ability to store music on the watch. Are just a few of the areas that cause me a lot of difficulty in making a decision. I wish i could have just gone into several shops to see and physically handle these watches but that did not seem possible. Anyway, i was looking for a watch to help me become more aware of my fitness overall and to help me achieve a personal goal of successfully completing a marathon. My first attempt at a marathon was the munich marathon oct 2019. I trained for 14 weeks, mainly using the nike + app. Everything seemed to be going well, but in the few weeks before, what is known as ‘the tapering period’.

I have a samsung android phone. Read loads of reviews of the app software and thought i’d made a mistake in ordering one of these as everyone seemed to have problems with the watch. The app on play store is not the correct version to enable you to connect to your watch. You must go to the huwaei main website and install the app gallery from there. Your phone won’t like it so you have to allow it to be downloaded past your security. Then install the health app and mobile services app. You can uninstall the app gallery after this if you wish. You then need to register for an account (free) to be able to run your health app. Setting the phone up is easy when you get it. Lovely watch faces with lots more to install from the app.

A great smartwatch from huawei. The watch gt 2 comes with many amazing functionalities like; heart rate and sleep monitoring, sport activities tracking, stress level monitoring, and even the level of oxygen in your blood with the spo2 monitoring feature and more. The watch has a decent size amoled touchscreen with 3d glass and a good battery life which lasts for up to 7 – 10 days (based on my use). The gt 2 is the perfect companion for when swimming and doing daily runs. I like the huawei watch gt 2 46mm, however, i find it quite big on the wrist, it feels like wearing a wall clock on your wrist. It has a sporty look and feel, as it’s aimed at male consumers. The 42mm model however, is much suited to female consumers with its elegant design. Still, the huawei gt 2 46mm is not as stylish as the apple watch, but it’s defiantly much cheaperi recommend the huawei watch gt 2 if size not an issue and if you are looking for a great smartwatch with many amazing functionalities without the high price tag.

So happy with my purchase, the watch looks gorgeous.

I had a garmin vivoactive 3 before this watch which was fine but i wanted a bulkier watch that i could wear casually and didn’t look just like a sports watch so opted for this. I checked all reviews and for the price this seemed best. It’s been almost a month since i had this watch and on a whole i love it but do have a few issues. Im used to the garmin connect which in my opinion is better and has more usability2- the watch faces need to be editable like the garmin ones and also it would be nice if there was more to chose from. 3-not sure about the monitoring. The sleep monitoring seems ok but the stress levels don’t get recorded every 30 mins like they should. This has been happening since a recent upgrade. 4- the notifications come through to the watch fine but each notification comes through multiple times. Not sure if it’s a setting that needs changing but i can’t find it.

Vodafone V-Kids Watch – Good idea, poor execution

Son loves his new smart watch. Well made, location accuracy not always the best but my iphone xs max is sometimes off too. The general location coupled with voice notification should be enough if we needed to local our son. Worthy purchase if you can buy it on offer like i did. Not to sure it’s worth the full rrp. Setup isn’t straightforward so be prepared to spend sometime setting it up. Once the product is all set up it really is a good piece of kit, it takes little time to go through the process with the vodafone sim but it is worth doing. It is easy to voice message and gives me peace of mind with the sos function built in, the games are a good feature to keep the little one entertained. The gps tracking works well with the vodafone signal and no problems so far. Love this, it’s a brilliant well designed product but the battery life is very disappointing. Esta muy bien, yo se lo he comprado a mis hijos y es casi exactoen la posición aunque podrian mejorar la interface e incluso

INIUPO Kids Smartwatch : A++++++

My 6 year old son loves this watch. Charging and adding music is so simple. The battery holds its charge brilliantly for days. The option to add 10 contacts is great as well. The strap is very soft and comfortable to wear. I bought the gifgaf 2g sim card and it works perfectly. Nought for my son and he absolutely like it. The strap is soft and the screen is very clear. Battery life is good but he keeps fiddling with watch so it drains the battery a bit early. Apart from that, happy with the purchase. I bought this watch fory kid for her birthday , she loves this watch it has many attractive features with games in it with music and camera and many more , she’s is much in love this watch predent, it’s colour is very vibrant i highly recomnf it to buy. This is really good watch i brought it for my nephew. He was over the moon and really happy. Many functions on it and can also be used as phone, text message, camera. Shows time in both format digital and analog. Looks really good too a
