Little challenging to set up.

I don’t travel, but i write and at times i have characters that say things in other languages. I have done translation online and that’s fine, but this takes it to a whole different level and i am impressed. I downloaded the app and synced the device to the app. It was truly cool speaking into the device and watching it print on the app’s screen and then translate to another language. So many reasons cell phones, the internet and our fancy electronic gadgets are creating issues for people, but this device can bring us closer together when we can understand one another.

Per the instructions, i downloaded the app. When opening it, the first thing it asked was “allow ifanin to access this device’s location?” i of course said no. Who cares what my location is?. The app then freezes on the intro screen. Of course you have to accept all of the permissions it asks for, but maybe the app should tell you why, first. The instructions, the device itself, and the app, all require a bit of experimenting, trial and error, and even then it’s a little unstable. Each time i turn on bluetooth on my (android) phone, and turn on the translator, it takes several attempts to getting them to recognize each other. Sometimes my phone says it’s connected to it, but the app is still showing red (not connected) at the top, and won’t work. Maybe this is more smooth on an iphone, i don’t know. As for the actual use of the thing.

When i used it at first, i needed to read the instructions for a long time, and then i realized that it’s needs to link to my mobile phone. It was a little troublesome at the beginning . However, the pronunciation of this two-way translation machine is very clear, and the translation is very accurate. For us american immigrants whose english is not the first language, it is really necessary to buy such a two-way translation machine. In many situations in life, we can communicate effectively with americans.

Its very simple to use and i hope to be able to use it at work with my spanish speaking clients.

I bought this translator pen for my mom. It easy to use and convenient. It help my mom for daily use and learn.

 i am a turkish native speaker and my fiancé is a native english speaker. I bought this translator for my fiancé who tries to learn turkish. So, i had a chance to test this instant translator for translating from turkish to english. I think that this product is pretty good overall. When i first see a device like this, i wonder why it’s not just an app form because you could pretty much do the same thing with just an app. But, when you actually use it, you can see how it’s superior to the app technology. The microphone is better to capture words and it translates better in ways that are better than google translate which is another of the more common translation programs out there. I think there are some limitations to translating the long sentences but it is enough what it needs to do for travelers who are trying to navigate in countries where they don’t speak language. Also, i loved the picture translation option. You can take a picture of a paragraph in a book in many languages and translate it to your language.

I wanted to give 5 stars but what held me back was the basicness of the app that you use along with the device and the material quality of the device itself. It’s translations are great and i’m impressed. My husband was born and raised in mexico and no matter how many classes i’ve taken i have never picked up anything more than basic spanish. When we go to mexico and visit his family and friends i am so lost, so i’m thrilled to have this device. Also, at work we get a lot of foreign students who come to work for the summer that i wish i could communicate with better. It’s greati’ve been using it with my husband and we carry on full conversations using this. He says it is completely accurate. It has many different versions of spanish since it is spoken somewhat differently depending on what country or area you go to. It has just as many for english as well.

 initially had difficulty to get the translator to work but once we figured it out, we were able to test several languages with very good accuracy.

This translator is working very well for me in the little testing i’ve done. As in headline of review, my testing has been english to spanish and back. I’m using this to brush up on my spanish speaking skills – and i need alot of brushing up. I struggled with the color choice initially, because i feel black items usually look better than white. After some thought, i spend lots of time hunting for small black items because they conceal their location so well in the background so i chose white. The unit is about the width of an apple tv remote but it is about 1 1/2 times longer. It is also quite a bit thicker – about the thickness of a zippo lighter. It has a couple of status lights, a power button, and the buttons you use for which translation is needed – talker 1 or talker 2. There is also a nice hole to attach a strap. The buttons all are well made and click well.

This gizmo is easy to set up and really works.

Ive been wanting to have one and finally did it and it’s very much worth it. It translates what i say in the language that i wanted to hear. This will be great for traveling it will help a lot. Also i can use this when i want to order food if the other person doesnt know much english. Just one thing i dont like is it doesnt connect automatically if youre an android user so better be ready for that.

I gave one of these to my husband and my niece. They both often have to communicate with people who speak different languages. My husband at work and my niece in volunteer work at her university. They both loved these translators. My niece said her university has a very expensive translator program that she could stop using because this translator did the same thing. I plan on buying more for other relatives who will be traveling abroad next summer.
