The huawei smartwatch gt 2 is a great watch and is a must buy. Ok it lacks wifi and google play but you can do other great things on the watch.
Watch is very comfortable to wear. Unfortunately even though it’s calssed as a fitness watch i will not connect to strava and the distance is always out but around 80-300m when running long distances. Kind of make this fitness watch more of a smart watch.
Huawei gt2 smatch has hit the buttons, on excellent functions, very quick response, this a xmas present for myself, after my previous smatch watch fitbit watch stop working. I’m so glad to upgrade to huawei smart watch is excellent buy.
Treated my self for xmas with vouchers off my kids so bought a gt2 but gotta say this smart watch is awesome with great batt life and changed to strap to a custom metal one. Only a few gripes with notifications are very basic and no adding custom watch cases which i’m sure will arrive at some point but overall 99% satisfied.
After much research on smartwatches, i choose this to be my first one. Then: black or orange?i have choose orange and disappointment kicked in as soon as i opened the box: this is not orange at all. Someone can say that colours differe from screen to screen but is misleading even on the box. Worse, is not even close to the image on the box as one can see in my photos. Actually, on the second photo i tried to picture the exact color side-by-side with the watch. So is more a brick-orange than the actual orange portraited in the photos. For a product with so much care on the looks, selling through misleading photos is bad for business.
Cracking looking watch, feels like a premium piece. Having came from a samsung galaxy watch, the limited apps are the only negative. But to be fair the apps included cover most bases. The battery life is great and the screen is nice and bright.
Great watch, connects seamlessly to my nokia phone, with huge battery life. The health app, gives all the info i want after a run, while the gps is practically spot on. For some reason the sleeps don’t sync, but i know i slept . Would buy again, if the need arises.
I’ve owned a load of trackers and smart watches over the last 10 years or so but this is the best combination of practicality and functionality that i’ve come across. Its not a true smartwatch in that you can’t install any apps on it and are stuck with the pre-loaded huawei tools but they are pretty good so that’s not a major problem. What you get is a load of fitness related apps and communication capabilities – all your typical exercise types are catered for, included having an on-board gps so you can track a run without your phone. You can get notifications from pretty much any app installed on your phone, and indeed can make and receive calls from the watch itself, although you do need you phone with you to do this. Where this wins out over every other device i’ve owned (fitbits, moto 360s, lg etc) is battery life and looks. It is robust without being excessively chunky, and it gets easily a week on a single charge for me. Recharging is great via the magnetic dock and while i’ve not measured it, it seems to only take 20-30 mins to recharge from low battery to full. For the price i don’t think it can be beaten at the moment.

If you are looking for a mid-range smart watch, with fairly decent fitness tracking, then this is definitely the device for you. As a smart watch, it’s basic, but does everything i want. Media control, yes (it will even pause netflix casting to a chrome cast), i’ve even had entire phone conversations on it when i was upstairs, but my phone was downstairs, but still connected to bluetooth. However, the huge plus on this phone is battery life. This is how smartwatches should be. Just finished charging it now (15% to 100% in under an hour), when the last time i charged it was a full 7 days ago. With the vibration going with a lot of notifications all week, and normal usage as a timepiece, it still gave a full 7 days. You might get more out of it with careful use, but it hardly seems worth the effort.A brilliant watch, at an extremely good price.
Great watch, i didn’t really buy into the smart watch idea to start with, but having used this (with huawei phone) it’s brilliant. The best thing is the battery, this lasts me 2 weeks before i need to recharge, 2hich is brilliant for me.
Very impressed so far, more of a fitness tracker than smart watch but that’s what i primarily use it for.

Boss product and great price (£150 on black friday). Literally my favourite present i bought for myself this xmas ha ha. Lovely quality feel, does loads of cool things, a must have if your into your training or tech. Delivered fast and efficiently.
I’m really happy with this watch i needed the whatsapp message to come up for work doesn’t matter if i can’t answer on the watch it’s very clear display i can’t believe there is so many watch faces u can choose so it’s win win for mecomfortable strap very quick charging although i haven’t had it passed 89% yet as i like to be fully charged upi must say the strap looks orange on screen but it’s not that brighti’ve bought more straps which aren’t expensivehubbie bought the leather one just after i bought mine we are both very pleased.
If you are into training this watch is great, even better than the expensive ones. Don’t get confused because of the price or the brand, it does even more than others. It has different modes, run (indoors/outdoors) and the same for cycling, swimming and others. It has a triathlon mode which is works incredible good. Speed, distance, heart rate, and others are very accurateif you have doubts, go for this watch.
But if you are coming from the apple watch, there are alot if things lacking. No siri equivalent ( i can’t ask google to set my alams or add something to my calender). I also can’t reply to a whatsapp message by dictating to my watch. Even with a hauwei phone, the intergation between them seems to be pretty non existent. It’s a activity watch / fitness tracker without strava. It does that we’ll, for the price. But for functional fitness / crossfit it leaves quite s bit to be desired. I like the stress tracking to give me a sense of my recovery, but i’m not really sure how well it does that. I would need to overtrain to test it really.
I purchased this watch at the beginning of december and wearing since. It is light, comfortable and basically it does what a smart watch is suppose to be doing. The fact that it doesn’t have access to the google apps it is not affecting me at all. It has enough to keep anybody interested in fitness tracking busy. Even the face watches, there are enough for any tastes, and i even noticed it was time consuming to change these faces every two-three days. Battery wise, i didn’t use it at its full potential, rarely used it for any exercise, but with heart monitoring on all the time, sleep monitor, notifications of only text messages and phone calls on, the battery last for about 2 weeks. Any form of gps tracking will for sure make your battery drain, but even so, you usually forget when was the last time you’ve charged it. Overall, it is nice and stylish, changed the orange strap with another more elegant one and it works just great. Very pleased with this purchase, strongly recommend.
Revised review:after a few days of using the gps died. Since the watch spent a month in the box unopened (present for my son) the 30 day return/replace was not applicable. The watch would no longer lock onto gps. Since there are issues with google play huawei support forced me to install their third party non google play app that required quite a lot of permissions. Not happy, this is a locked down phone for a child. The suggestions by huawei did not help the watch 
following this huawei collected the watch, replaced it, and it has been working ever since. So regarding their after sales:- forces you to install their non google play app store and app (despite this not helping)+ fast turnaround for the repair (took about a week), efficient collection, delivery, and tracking+ polite customer service, no waiting over the phoneoverall a nice watch,+ long battery life+ nice display. My son loves it+ can track his activities well+ can change watch faces (but only to the huawei ones, one cannot create their own)+ can answer calls, and show notifications- locked in to the huawei health app, no support for third party apps like runkeeper or strava.
This watch arrived in quality packaging. When opened the watch looks and feel quality. Arrived charged to about 70%. Charged to full very quickly. It was very easy to pair with my phone. I found it easy to navigate through the menu’s. The functionality of the watch is outstanding and the response is as fast as the galaxy and apple smart watches for a lot less.

Had regular updates, last update enabled loads more watch faces to become available. Battery life for me is about a week and a half before getting to 15%. But u can’t respond to texts on the watch it’s self. Also for a watch that is supposed to have built in gps it needs your phone’s gps to be on for the weather part to work and as it should have its own gps i’d have thought there would be a map app on the watch it’s self so you can get directions on the watch instead of your phone but it dosent. Still despite that am likeing it very much. If they got those 2 things working properly i’d give it 5 stars.
I got my wife the apple watch for xmas, and thought i’d get myself this as i use a huawei phone. The first thing that stood out was the battery life. It can take 2 weeks of constant use, i use the gps daily and heart rate monitor is always on, before you even need to think about charging. Compare that to the apple watch which my wife charges at least every other night. Don’t get me wrong the apple has more features and you can download your own apps. But for the purposes of being a fitness tracker and for music this out classes the apple watch which is twice the price. The sleep tracker is so mucb better than i had thought it would be. It highlights issues with your sleep and explains how best to improve. If huawei add 3rd party apps and google assistant to their next model, i will definitely be buying it.
This watch is great, it does everything it states and the battery life is great.
It looks good, battery life is great, i can listen to music and i can track my workouts. The app needs some improvement to use the data recollected from the watch better. Overall, it’s a great value for its cost.
Can’t beat this watch at this price, bluetooth calls cam be made and recived through watch. Not a stand alone must be connected to phone. Great choice of faces about 25 i think.
Works fine for swimming and the heart as nd sleep moniter are spot on. Looks great and very comfortable. I just wish there was more faces to choose from and that the always on was the face i choose and not a boring choice between a generic analogue or digital screen.
Lovely watch spoilt by difficulty in setting up with health app. Originally wanted to return watch but now wish to keep it. Please cancel my return application.
The beauty of this watch is the battery life. It really does last 2x weeks. My samsung s3 needs charging every night.
After wanting a smart watch for years and trying to find out what was tge best one for me i decided to take a chance on this and can honestly say i love this, easy to use and set up, can make and receive calls, track your exercise and a lot more absolutely great watch.
Best smartwatch iv used highly recommended, does everything the apple watch does. Has all the apps pre-installed that i needed, great buy.
Really pleased with it, battery is immense. I tried a ticwatch and the quality was no were near as good, pay bit extra and get a known brand and you see the difference i quality, the gps works and much quicker and easier to use than cheaper smart watch versionsreommended and this colour looks great .
Very surprised at just how nice this watch is, i needed something to get me off the sofa after a few months of lockdown and this is perfect, very nice looking watch especially with the orange band, has all the functions you would need, steps, gps, exercise modes etc, very easy to understand and use, syncs well with my android phone, i i use the exercise mode 3 or 4 times week, gps etc and charge it fully once a week, take the plunge, you won’t be dissapointed.
Excellent smart watch with great battery life. This watch is now my daily wear. . Very comfortable and functional. Bought a replacement black leather strap. . And it goes with any outfit. . I’m getting about 6 to 10 days on one charge. The best part is the fast charging of the battery. If i compare it with the iwatch 5 (490 euros) i bought for my wife. . I watch battery last only a day and half max. . And it takes several hours to recharge. Gt2 fully recharges in about an hour.
This watch is very well build and looks way better then most watches. Screen is very bright and rather wide. Battery is great – up to 2 weeks, depending on use (just over a week with all features on – confirmed)they managed to have such battery life due to simplicity of the app. You won’t have much features – just basic ones and don’t expect professional grade tracking. But i actually like this simplicity as i’m not overwhelmed with staff. You can’t install any apps on it. Also navigation could be better, but they are slowly improving with updates. If you have some problem with installing phone app – please google first. I had to install older version of huawei mobile services to mahe health app work.
absolutely amazingif you’re thinking about getting a new smart watch and you want fantastic battery life, this is the one for you. The watch is so intuitive how everything is set out. All too often, smart watches can be quite confusing or have too many options. This gt 2 is, in my opinion, just perfect. There are dozens of watch faces to customise it and several more available to download. The charger is so small and plugs into any usb-c cable, then magnetised onto the bottom of the watch. It also charges reasonably quickly. The functions of the watch are great, with lots of different workout choices and exercises. It gets a gps fix really quick and, from my basic testing, the signal and tracking is good. This works great connected to my motorola g7 power.
