I received this last week as a birthday present. Within 3 days of wearing it i noticed scratches on the screen as per the photos. I have only used for normal daily activity, nothing extreme and certainly nothing to emulate the extreme testing of the corning gorilla glass 3 on the corning website. I have emailed garmin to complain and tell them i think the screen is sub standard and they told me i could pay £120 to have it replaced or ask amazon to replace it. I have explained it is not an amazon issue, it is a garmin quality issue but they keep deflecting it. So poor customer service as well as a poor quality screen.

Buen producto de garmin buena calidad en sus materiales y buena estetica si no quieres un reloj con aspecto muy deportivo sin dejar muchas funciones deportivas atras este es tu reloj. Llevo con el todos los dias desde que salio al mercado y los problemas que hubo al principio con la duracion de la bateria se han solucionado con la actualizacion a la version 3. 40 solucionandose el problema de la bateria eso si ,si lo utilizas mucho con el oximetro y el gps se agota por que es lo que mas consume pero con el contador de paso la frecuencia cardiaca y el uso como reloj inteligente la bateria dura alrededor de una semana. Tiene lo basico en las funciones deportivas esta encaminado al fitnes aunque tiene muchos deportes incluidos no tiene las metricas de los garmin runner pero da resultado y tampoco tiene seguimientos de track para rutas como los fenix. En la tienda iq de garmin podemos instalar aplicaciones y esferas de reloj y la mayoria son gratuitas. Tiene una funcion de seguridad por si tienes un incidente que las puedes utilizar manualmente(apretando un boton) o de forma automatica (caidas)en algunas actividades mandando un sms o gmail a un contacto que eligas dando tu posicion, una funcion muy util que lo estan incorporando otras marcas de relojes inteligentes. Medidor de frecuencia cardiaco bastante bueno lo he comparado con uno de cinta de pecho y es bastante preciso para ser de muñeca.
Bought to replace an ageing fenix 3. At first i was concerned that i might not get the same level of functionality but, unless you are a hardcore triathlete (which i am not) the fenix is overkill. The vivoactive 4 has everything i need to track a fairly active lifestyle (running, cycling, swimming, hr monitor, sleep tracking, customisable activity screens, etc. Plus it has built in music functionality (which i don’t use), excellent smartwatch features and a great set of connectiq customisations. Finally – the size is a much better fit for my skinny wrist.
A great upgrade on my garmin vivoactive hr, a stylish design and has many great features, very accurate so far had a few difficulties adding headphones but could’ve been the headphones themselves.

Bought this to replace my hauweii watch 2 and feel the app and ease of use of this watch is far superior. Cannot be totally confident on the accuracy of the heart rate monitor (get a slightly different reading by a few beats per minute compared to my omron doctors recommended monitor), the o2 % is also slightly lower than my hospital recommended finger monitor too. Overall feel the accuracy is ok to give me a guide on what is happening with my body stats over the day. Battery life has so far, had the watch three months now, been averaging around 4-5 days between charging wearign the watch 24/7 between.
Awesome watch, not the best battery, but it charges in less than an hour. At full charge it will definitely last a marathon. Has awesome wrist hr function which i found very accurate (not using my chest strap anymore). It can connect to most chest strap hr via bluetooth if you prefer.
Dopo aver provato diversi smartwatch della huami ho deciso di passare a garmin, queste le prime impressioni:positivo:- ottimo gps- dati rilevati abbastanza precisi- ben leggibile il display transflettivo, anche con scarsa luminosità- moltissime attività sportive supportate- vibro ottimo, anche in posizione intermedia si sente benissimonegativo:- autonomia scarsa, attivando controllo cardio, spo2, notifiche ecc. Dura poco più di un giorno, limitando al massimo i consumi (selezionando watchfaces ‘scarne’ senza spo2 e allenamenti minimi senza gps arrivi a stento a 4 giorni. – gestione widget poco pratica, appaiono a rotazione ma spesso le salta o non si trovano più. – connettore di ricarica molto delicato, non è protetto dalla polvere e sudore la fessura attorno si riempie di sporcizia ed è difficile da pulire. – illuminazione automatica con movimento del polso ultrasensibile, qualsiasi movimento lo fa accendere (ho dovuto subito disattivarla). – non è possibile (almeno non ho trovato il modo di farlo), far registrare la frequenza cardiaca ad intervalli più lunghi (es. Ogni 5, 10, 15 minuti) come negli altri smartwatch per risparmiare un pochino la batteria. O l’attivi in modo continio o la escludi. – escludendo il controllo continuo delle pulsazioni cardiache non puoi chiedere manualmente una misura istantanea (come fanno tutti gli altri smartwatch), idem se vuoi una misura del spo2. Giudizio finale:buon smartwath / sportwatch con necessità di miglioramenti.
Amazing value and quality product if you’re an active person. I play golf, cycle, run, swim and bodyweight train, and sometimes a mix of these each day. I spent hours researching the watch that would give me everything i wanted at the right price point. I was weighing up the germin vivoactive, venu and applewatch. Despite the lesser graphic display compared with the venu and applewatch i think the massive gain in battery life is worth it and the display is ‘always active’ which is what i wanted with golf; dont want to keep faffing with it each shot. I also like that you dont need your phone with you, the watch can store music from my amazon music account, sync with my bluetooth headphones and has built in golf apps and gps unlike the applewatch which needs you to have your phone nearby for golf. It also has garmin pay, so when out on a long run or cycle you wont get caught shorthighly recommenced. If you’re a triathlete and open water swimming is important to you; look at the fenix range which have better gps locating, but for what i do this is amazing for a couple hundred quid.
Excellent product, the battery life can be more (4 days) but it similar to vivoactive 3.

So firstly, i haven’t owned a garmin watch before, or any other fitness watch for that matter, so i don’t have much to compare it with. But what i will say, is that i am delighted with the watch. The level of data within the app is insane. You can track:- sleep quality (amount of time in rem, etc. ) respiration and movement during sleep. – oxygen saturation (you have to configure the watch to take this regularly during sleep or all day. Otherwise it’s on-demand)- heart rate 24/7 along with charts showing movement, activities, etc. – tonnes of data and charts from walks/runs. Hr, cadence, pace, elevation, time spent in each hr zone. – steps per day (with goals set that move based on the number of steps you’re achieving)- stairs climbed- number of intensity minutes per week (with goals set)- respiration- calories- vo2max (which is calculated based on 10 mins+ of continuous activity.
Great device, needs a better software but works very well.
Upgraded from a vivoactive 3 music and i love the v4 even more. Connectivity for the music is better and the larger screen, although not much bigger, makes a difference.
This product has changed my life for the better. Now i am making sure that i am being active and it’s easier to track my swims etc. The battery could be better, but as long as you remember to charge it it’s good. And i love that i can change the screen.
Absolutely brilliant watch for tracking runs or walks and the endless list of workouts available are great to get you moving.
Fantastic watch at half the price of its competitors.

J avais une vivoactive 3 music et j ai voulu changé pour ce nouveau modèle et je ne regrette pas contrairement aux autres avis la batterie a tenu presque 1 semaine avec 1 h velo par jour les battement coeur fonctionne aussi a la piscine maintenant. Pas allergique au poignet bref je suis rassurée par contre la music est intégrée avant on pouvez choisir est elle était moins chère mais bon a part ça très belle montre et garmin pay toujours aussi pratique de payer avec sa montre.
The watch itself works very well and does everything it’s supposed to do. However i’m having a bluetooth connection issue between it and my phone. It seems to have started after the last update. It will intermittently disconnect and reconnect multiple time for no reason. It vibrates everytime which is very annoying. All troubleshooting methods don’t seem to fix the problem. Hoping for a new update that will.
Hola¡mi reloj anterior habían sido la miband 2 y 3 de xiaomi que utilizaba para correr puntualmente pero cumplían mis expectativas. Decidí pasarme a un reloj más potente ya que he aumentado la horas y tipos de ejercicios. Elegí este modelo porque buscaba algo polivalente, poder escuchar música o registrar datos de la ruta, sin necesidad de llevar el móvil. Por ello descarte los fourrunner al ser más específicos y también los fenix por su precio. Tras 6 meses de uso y trasteando con intensidad:- tema batería:si lo conectas con todo (móvil, música, gps, sensores, frecuencia cardiaca, pulsioxim, etc) pues dura un día como mucho. Si lo llevas grabando ruta con gps, te gasta 50% durante 4 horas de btt. Si lo conecta sólo con bt al móvil pues 4 días, una faena si quieres estar actualizado de noticias. Al final he optado por llevarlo sin conectar a nada y cuando lo necesito lo conecto. Por ejemplo siempre llevo el bt del móvil encendido (tiene mejor batería que el reloj) y cuando quiero descargo wass, mail o incluso busco el móvil (muy útil ). Con este modo de uso he llegado hasta 10 días, pero hay que estar atento a desconectar.
I use mainly this for running and listening to music. The gps is pretty good with no connection problems and no issues with the music. The are are a lot of functions that i still haven’t worked out or got around to looking at. The summary is that the watch is very good for the price(£219 at the time of buying) and looks pretty good.
Turned off bluetooth during 78 mile sportive. Total time gps on was over 6 hours and battery only dropped a little (see images) gps very accurate. Same distance s others on ride. Music and payment also work well. Great watch for tracking fitness.
Best sports watch – have tried a few.
Zu allererst: eigentlich ist die uhr der wahnsinn. Trägt nicht auf ist edel und doch schlicht. Man merkt teilweise gar nicht das man sie trägt da sie eine sehr leichte uhr ist. Die bedienung ist spielerisch einfach und intuitiv, das einrichten holprig wie immer bei garmin aber nach einem neustart des handys (wegen der bluetooth verbindung) lief es einfach von der hand. Die messgenauigkeit ist definitiv besser als bei den vorgängern auch ohne herzfrequenzgurt kann man aktivitäten mittracken, ich rate dennoch dazu einen gurt zu tragen und zu verbinden, da die hf sonst immer zu gering ausfällt, ein bekanntes problem mit welchem ich leben kann. Ich trage die uhr 24 std am tag, nur zum laden wird sie abgenommen. Von 5% auf 100% dauert es etwa 1,8std, finde ich recht lang aber ok. Der einzige große nachteil aber ist (wenn man alles so lässt wie es ist), dass der akku nur etwa 2 tage hält. Die uhr nimmt sich am tag etwa 40-45% akku, obwohl keine aktivitäten aufgezeichnet werden, keine musik oder ähnliches gehört wird. Mit etwas rumgeklicke und spielerei ist die geste für das automatische licht ausgeschaltet, wasserhaushalt und ähnliche spirenzchen deaktiviert und man wundert sich dass die uhr noch 32% am tag vom akku frisst.
