HONOR Band 5 Fitness Trackers Activity Trackers 0 – Fantastic value for money but app not available on all devices
I absolutely love my new watch. This was a replacement for a different brand of watch, but so pleased i found this one. I have a huawei phone so it’s perfect. I have also discovered there are smart sales to go with it, which i will be getting to help with bmi etc. It’s easy to read, even on sunny day. There are so many different clock face choices you can download as well, so never get bored with the look of it. The watch itself is very comfortable, and the charge system is great and easy to use, no pulling straps off to charge lol.
Bought this for my 10 year old daughter for christmas and she utterly loves it. Won’t take it off and it has been great is getting her to think about her sleep and also activity levels each day. Disappointing though that the app doesn’t seem available for chrome devices or older android tablet versions so my daughter hasn’t been ae to use the app and needs to use my phone. Also had a couple of problems from time to time synching data. All in, fantastic value really and the swimming function on this model is extremely useful for kids that swim.

To be honest, i initially bought this fitness tracker for my wife because i bought a much nicer watch for myself . I tell you what, this is a cracking little watch. What did it for my wife is the fact that you can now track exercises on a cross trainer and a rower as well as have access to so many more face watches. She had the honor band 4 before and this is definitely a step up. The screen is sharper with much nicer graphics. It no longer looks like a great attempt at competing with the fitness trackers you buy for much more money, it is a leading product. The battery life is great in those. The band 4 still has 2 weeks battery life after 2 years. We expect the same from this one.
It’s a bit early to judge its performance fully, so these are just my initial impressions. Firstly i’m not really a pink person but i didn’t want something dark, and it looked fairly pale and subtle, so i went for it. However in real life it’s a deeper pink than it appears on any of my screens (phone, tablet, laptop), a rather sickly colour, so i’ve ordered a replacement strap in green. Secondly the quick start guide, which is all you get by way of instructions, is just one one tiny page showing how to charge it and pair it and telling you to download the health app. After that you’re on your own, so i hope the app is intuitive when i find time to look at it properly. Finally if you have a very small wrist, which i do, it’s fine. I was worried about having a long excess piece of strap and not being able to keep it in place with the keeper, but it has a little tag on the underside that you press into one of the holes in the strap, so it stays put.
I absolutely love this watch, it’s so easy to setup and navigate. The app is informative and shows you your sleep pattern and gives you ideas on how to improve your sleep. It reminds you to get up and move if you are sitting down to long. The watchface is changeable so there’s a different face to choose from in the app. I particularly like that you can check your spo2 levels and your heart rate. Step count is accurate so just moving your arm doesn’t add to the step count unlike my other watch. I also have a huawei mobile and if i mislay it i go on my watch and select settings then find phone and my mobile says ‘here i am’. There’s so many great features and i can wear it swimming as its waterproof too. I have previously owned a well known brand but will not be going back to it as this exceeds all my expectations. I definitely recommend this as its a fraction of the cost of other brands and 100% better in my opinion.
Having me /cfs i want accuracy in hr, steps and sleep and all i can shout is wow. I’ve had a polar 360 and a fitbit hr and i far prefer this. The sleep tracker is amazing and incredibly accurate. The oxygen blood saturation is superb. I found the steps counter far more accurate than the fitbit which would often have me doing 10,000 steps when in fact i’d be lucky if i’d done half that. A phone is needed for gps tracking which i’m happy to conserve the bands battery life. It’s slim and stylish with a super bright colourful responsive screen. My only tiny niggle is the pink strap is a bit bla , it’s more of a salmon rather than baby shade. I watched 3 hours of youtube and read 5 reviews before buying so you can buy with confidence .
Bought as a gift for my partner and she is absolutely thrilled. Does everything it says on the tin. Only ‘con’ to watch out for is the step tracking, this is based on a pedometer within the watch which relies on movement. Do not expect your steps to be tracked if your arms are stationary e. When carrying boxes or some such. It also appears to be somehow linked to the phones gps as steps also wont be tracked accurately if you walk/run on the same spot. This is very important in terms of treadmill use. Heart rate monitor appears to track very accurately. There are multiple modes that appear to improve certain tracking features when enabled for the correct activity (indoor walk/run, outdoor walk/run, etc). Very durable design, screen is very bright and but a limited choice in watch faces some of which are very difficult to tell the time from. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get an exercise tracking watch but do not want to splash out on a £100+ fully feature rich smart watch.
Bought this for my wife and she likes it. It’s well made, looks good and easyish to use. Setting it up for her on an samsung s10e was difficult. The google app was not up to date. So take note of the following as it came close to defeating me. I had to go go to the apkmirror website and download huawei app gallery. I downloaded apkmirror installer official on google play and used it to install huawei app gallery. I then used huawei app gallery to install the latest version of the watch app. The watch app told me to download the latest version of hms core from the huawei gallery which i did and then it all worked. I personally own an huawei p30 pro with all the above stuff on so it would not be a problem for my mobile.
Where do i start but by saying this watch is amazing. I was a little worried ordering as seems so cheap for a smart watch that does so much but i’m so glad i did. It’s far superior than my old fitbit. It has an amazing colour display and the heart rate and oxygen levels work perfectly. I honestly recommend this watch, you wouldn’t regret buying. Also it has an amazing battery life, great step and sleep tracking.
