Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 44 mm Golf Edition – – Where is the combined charger for samsung s10 and the Active Watch?
I have owned smart watches/fitness trackers from all the major producers and while they were all excellent in their particular area, i always felt each one was missing something the other had. I sceptically bough the active2 after reading some great and not so great reviews, and can honestly say i love it. Battery lasts almost 2 days with hr on continuously (which is unbelievable considering the interface and screen quality), interactions with the watch are fast and i have yet to experience any lag, the screen is beautiful, sleep tracking accurately identifies my sleep and naps, even the floor count works fine for me (despite reading reviews stating otherwise), so all in all i can’t really find anything to complain about except maybe that the stainless steel should be advertised as rose gold and not plain gold (as it is not really a yellow gold but a pinkish one). Would recommend and have recommended this watch to anyone looking for ‘a bit of everything’ in a piece of technology that easily crosses into the elegant side as well.
This is my first smart watch. Works very well with my galaxy s10+. I bought a black tpu cover case for protection because is very easy to scratch the aluminium sides of the watch.
Battery life is amazing easily lasts for 2 days. It never lags, very fast processing. Its features are useful and fun. I use it for work out as well and it’s everything you’d need. The only con i’d say is that it doesn’t have google pay. It has samsung pay but i don’t use that. Anyway, would recommend for everyone.
I ordered the 40mm version for my wife as well as this 44mm version which both have now been delivered but i am sure there was a free samsung ep-n6100 wireless charger duo if you pre-ordered the watches therefore there should be two of these chargers delivered.
To begin with, i was sent a watch running the polish version of the firmware not the uk so i have sent it back. I bought the watch because my fitbit versa had broken but after briefly using the active 2 for a day i managed to get fitbit to give me 50 percent off the versa 2 which is saving me a staggering £150 compared to owning this watch. After years of owning fitbits, since 2013 i can honestly say that this watch just isn’t for me. I like to monitor my heart rate, steps and calories burned. I also like being able to view notifications from text messages, whatsapp, fb messenger etc. I found that the active 2’s ability to do those things wasn’t as good as the fitbits. The heart rate sensor wasn’t picking up my heart rate as well as it should and the notifications are horrible, having to endlessly swipe left or right or glide your finger over the touch bezel is not very intuitive at all. When a new notification comes through you have to press the back button to get rid of itthe fitbit notification system is just like ios/android drop down menu, you can view all your notifications on one screen and swipe them away when required. I am used to charging my fitbit once every 5 days at a push. This watch needs charging almost every day which just doesn’t feel right. The fitbit just feels like part of your body that you can forget about, you can swim, shower and sleep with it on, not having to worry about charging it for 5 days. It chagres much faster tooto stop waffling, i think this is the watch to have if you want to work out without bringing your phone with you. If you don’t mind bringing your phone with you then there is no point at all getting this watch.
I’ve been using this watch for just over a week now and am very pleased with it. Unlike much of samsung’s target market, i have no interest in using it for sports or health, apart from the pedometer. I wanted a decent smart watch for emails, news, twitter etc and this looked like the best option. I chose the 44mm face with its larger screen. Which version to get?it was far from easy deciding whether to get the 4g (lte) or bluetooth version, but was much helped by a review from andrew martonik, ‘should you buy a samsung galaxy watch with lte?’ (can’t provide link, sorry) who pointed out there are few benefits and much additional cost with the 4g. As i don’t always have my phone with me, i’d hoped i could slot in a pay as you go sim, but the watch does not take a sim at all, so it would mean another phone contract. So i went for the wireless version. Chargerit came with a dinky little charger, a magnetic disc about the size of the watch itself, though i was sorry to see the charging cable was only one metre long. This is a real issue as most of my sockets are at floor level, so the watch hardly reached a table or work surface to charge. It doesn’t take long to charge (a couple of hours maybe) and the charge lasts about two days, which is fine.
