This was delivered very quickly as requested. Price was the best i could find and with hrm. Love the watch itself and linked up to garmin connect, my performance and strava and still have lots of functions to get to but will do eventually. Only quirk was first updates and learning to use it. I lost half day skiing due to system lock but that was due to trying to ordering it 2 days before flying and not taking time to update. Once the learning curve of using it complete and then starting to use hrm, this watch works wonders.

Best garmin running watch yet. Love the running dynamics and you can even wear this one as a casual watch :-).

Very happy so far, the battery is performing very well.

Good looking, well featured multisport watch, tracks gps well. Downsides, the screen is a bit straining to read, and the light seems to need a double push to show it. The confusing temperature reading 10 degrees higher than the environment, perhaps its defective. The bluetooth is a bit flakey in connecting the first few times, but eventually could get it to sync with my note3. The mobile app isnt much to brag about though.

Only done 1 run with this so far. The gps connected fast, the distance covered was accurate with other runners. Setting notifications to show and having constant link with bluetooth reduces battery life to about 36hrs. Normal watch mode used 1% in 24hrs. Bluetooth active but not show notifications makes no difference to the 36hrs previously noted. Setup is easy and download to device through usb seamless. Starting and choosing an activity is simple too. Down side is the sheer bulk of the watch, but that’s obviously been dealt with in the fenix 3.

A fairly simple to use sports watch ideal for most activities once you navigate around the functions well worth the price.

Once you get the hang of it. . Garmin connect app needs to keep pace with strava though.

It was bought as a gift for someone who really likes it.

With all these functions is so convenient as drawing map in google maps where you want to go – upload it to the watch and go.

It’s okay, a bit disappointed that it locks up every third time you try to access the history option. Apart from this constant niggle. I’d recommend you buy the newer version and don’t waste your money.

I purchased this watch with some trepidation after reading previous reviews about it freezing, not finding satelites, not being accurate etc. However i am pleased to say that my unit is plagued with none of those issues and truly is a wonderful piece of kit. It usually finds a gps link in less than 15 seconds and at all times has always found a link within 1 minute of being switched on. The unit is quite chunky in size but the flip side of the coin is that it is easy to use and control mid exercise. I was a little surprised that when loading my runs into garmin connect it sometimes shows my route a little bit out i. E it will show me crossing the road to be running on the otherside of the road when i never or i will run a straight line and it will show as a zig zag on the map but this is only a minor pain as i know the actual distance is correct. I have verified this in 2 seperate test by using a non garmin gps alongside the garmin on a run and both times each unit had recorded exacty the same distance coveredall in all a great bit of kit and i wish i had purchased one sooner.

Excellent fitness tracker and combined with the running hrt more training information than you can shake a stick at. One minor gripe, used as a watch it’ll lose seconds a day if not synced with gps and there is no manual way to set the time. Here’s hoping a firmware upgrade will sort that.

It is big but what do you expect with the amount of data collected and stored. Doesn’t feel heavy on your hand even when swimming. The dial is large and when running that’s good as you can see everything quick and easy. Cadence and bike sensors work. Excellent watch for the money, especially reduced. I have a garmin 510 as well and if i’d known this watch did so much i’d have bought this only.

This watch is everything the fenix 2 is, but with the much-needed positive display. While the negative display of the fenix 2 may be more appealing to those who want an understated watch for every day wear, the positive display of the fenix 2 special edition is much more legible for those who really use the watch’s capabilities. Major points that make this watch a real standout are the strong vibration alarm and the ability to use just about any 26mm strap one likes. I use it as an every day watch and it has proven very reliable and very versatile.
