Garmin Fenix 3 HR GPS Multisport Watch – I would consider buy another again.

Like the fact it connects to the phone easy. Had the the 910xt previously which was good but not as easy to look at data or trends.

I’m not gonna lie, i was in two minds about buying this watch given the price of the sapphire version, however i’m so glad i did commit. The watch looks pure class when worn with a suit and a quick switch of the metal strap to the silicon strap and you’ve got yourself a stunning, comfortable running/outdoors watch. The sapphire has toughened glass, metal strap and a silicon strap and certain visual features which differ to that of the non-sapphire versions. The fenix 3 is an upgrade to my garmin forerunner 610 which frustrated me no end when trying to initiate a gps connection (sometimes taking 5-10 mins) and i didn’t get on with the touch screen. The fenix 3 isn’t touch screen thankfully and the gps connected within seconds in the same poor signal area (with the added option of glonass and ultrac. The customisation is superb with the different watch faces, apps etc through the iq store and since having the watch, new apps are appearing in store daily. For those who want a steps tracker etc then it has it all, along with an excellent sleep tracker which is all displayed on garmin connect (android / ios etc). I really could go on and on about this watch as is an absolutely brilliant bit of kit, i’d be lost without it, literally. If your reading this review and the watch is still sitting in your amazon basket, don’t doubt, just buy it, you will not be disappointed.

I mainly used this for running and swimming (counted the lengths perfectly), it provided great motivation to keep pushing myself. Battery life is second to none, even with training everyday it would only need charging once a week. The amount of information in the garmin app is very useful and thorough. There was the odd crash during a run where it would tell me i was doing a mile every 2 minutes, but this was repaired with an update. I gave mine up to try the apple watch and have regretted it ever since.

Still figuring out all the functions but really comfortable to wear and the battery life is amazing. Heart rate monitor is really useful as a built in item. The silicone strap is a bit fiddly to put on in the morning but it is very light to wear all day. Phone and text notifications work really well. Downloaded some watch faces but once you settled on one you won’t change it much. Might purchase the metal strap at some stage.

Have had it 2 years, trouble free, battery has been incredibly consistent unlike a phone and has done everything it said it would and in fact more. . More and more valuable functionality has been added over the years , for instance golf gps to mention just one. . A really excellent useful tool.

Very smartwatch, well made and quality watch. Keeps time well and punctual. I still cant understand why people still buy analogue watches. If you are into fitness this smartwatch offers you fitness program. You can also work out with all garmin smartwatch wearers. Get garmin connect on your iphone to enjoy the other benefits of this smartwatch.

Cool device, biggest complaint is the connectivity to tha connect iq app, vey iffy and needs repairing constantly. If garmin were to fix this i would give this a 5 star rating.

Just fantastic in every way, such a massive upgrade from my garmin 610. I use it for running and hikes and it works perfectly and it’s brilliant to no longer need to use a chest strap for the heart rate monitor. Battery life has been brilliant, i get a few weeks per charge and that is with several 5k runs and a 10 mile hike with gps on.

It is part of my daily life. Massively recommend this product. There is a newer version; cant justify or afford it. Still love this product though. . Where to begin in why it is so good :).

When arrived and setting up, was disappointed that no rowing option, as advertised. Went for swim and tracking was all over the place. Hit the forums and logged into garmin connect to discover my watch was on old software version 4. 3, since then lots of updates and bug fixes, from laptop connected my new watch and updated software to 8. Rowing function now shows and going for second swim, the length accuracy was pretty spot on. In summary – great watch, just shame software version is not current out of the box.

I decided to return this for a couple of reasons. The gps concerns i’ve seen elsewhere (foolishly only after i’d ordered it), plus a slightly difficult to read display being two of them. Perhaps the biggest reason was its size. I wanted a watch to wear all day, so have now ‘downgraded’ to a forerunner 630, which whilst still pretty big is ok to wear all day without looking a bit odd.

Absolutely love this watch it does everything i need it too including swimming cycling running and many other activitiesit is a big watch face but looks stylish and it’s not too heavy – in fact it’s lighter than my normal day watch. That the fenix 3 charges on the go (if you have a power bank) means i don’t need to worry about it lasting the distance i’d i chose to attempt an ultra marathon in the futurebought as a refurbished watch and it was perfect no marks at all.

Already own a fenix 3 and will sell this as the garmin fenix 3 sapphire titanium is absolutely beautiful. The company i bought it from are called trendor from germany and they are so efficient arrived before the date suggested. The feel of this watch on the wrist is incredibly light. Paired well with heart rate monitor etc. Going for my first trail run with it. Here are the specifications for the Garmin Fenix 3 HR GPS Multisport Watch:

  • Make sure this fits
    by entering your model number.
  • Stainless Steel EXO antenna with GPS + GLONASS support for fast fix and accuracy
  • 3.1 cm (1.2-inch) sunlight readable colour Chroma display. Physical size- 5.1 x 1.7 x 5.1 cm

Very versatile and looks good, loads of functions and ideal for my sports, rowing and hiking. The hr monitor is way better than my previous one, so far. Mobile and pc-based software are excellent. Only niggle was the wrist strap which broke within a month, but replacements are easy to get hold of and install.

I would say it is not worth the extra money to buy the fenix 5 unless you need a long range battery or don’t like bulky watches. The new software updates make it almost identical while saving 200 pounds.

The fenix 3 is honestly the best watch i have ever owned, truly more than just a watch. Recently bought the rose gold for my wife and she loves it. I have been using my fenix 3 as a daily driver for close to two years now and it has never let me down, from hiking in the scottish highlands (gps loaded courses + track back) to my daily activity tracking, the fenix 3 is just simply the best in my opinion. (had the fenix 5 for a few days and returned it, personally i’m just a fanboy of the fenix 3 i guess). If you know how to utilise it’s potential, you will never regret purchasing one.

Only had it for 24 hours but so far so good. It is an expensive piece of gear but definitely worth the price as it’s functionality and capabilities are far superior than anything else out there at the moment. Haven’t tested it with hrm-run yet but with the two runs i have been on so far it has captured good quality data. I was suprised by it’s accuracy in terms of knowing when i went to sleep and waking up too. Will give an update after a month with a few photos.

The idea of activity tracker watches was a total turn off but i needed to be able to track my rides on the velodrome so took the plunge as money was a bit tight and i needed a new watch and a tracker. The watch is great, you can customise the watch face making it suitable for more professional environments and the battery life blew me away. I cannot recommend this watch highly enough.

This watch is excellent, not the smallest device you’ll ever buy. The battery life is terrific as compared to the apple watch, it still has 62% capacity after a week. The package arrived quickly, though the tracking details were odd.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Loads of features. Perfect for triathlons

  • Everything is great except mediocre GPS syncing.

  • Good sports and day to day watch.

Product box came wrapped around in sellotape, which was a bit worrying at first sight. Guess not everything can be beautifully packaged like the electronic goods from that fruit brand. Anyways, product itself seemed new / unused. Relatively easy to set-up, i managed it. Shame that to adjust the size i had to go to a professional and not do it myself. Am sure the garmin quality and accuracy will shine through as i actually get to use the many many functions.

I’ve tried a few in the past (tom tom, polar, sunnto, fitbit, apple etc) and none compare to garmin. I also have the forerunner 620 – this is a nice upgrade from that model. The watch is big, it doesn’t look out of place on my wrist, but it could be too large for some women i would think. Got loads of features and finds the gps really quickly. The red is a dark red too which looks great with the silver face.

It is a great watch with many nice perks. I have used it during obstacles races and it has resisted being hit by rocks and drowned in mud and water. In 80% of locations, synchronizing gets stuck in red just one bar before full sync and you have to wait 15-20 minutes for it to finish. I have tested it outdoors in at least 30 different geographical locations in 4 different european countries and the problem persists. I have updated software many times but the problem still persists. It is frustrating to wait outdoors for 15-20 minutes before every running training. That’s why i give it only 3 stars.

I have upgraded from fr610 to the fenix3. Easy to upload, great battery life, smart measurements really impact your performance. Cadence, stride, oscillations, etc. If you follow them you definitely improve your speed. I wanted a watch that was touchscreen and without band. I understood i cannot get the same data without a band. Garmin confirmed that they do not see them making a wrist based pulse watch that gives you the same amount of data as a band watch. Moving away from a touchscreen was not a big deal when you have a fenix 3.

Used for golf and running mainly. Garmin connect app great and no issues synchronising. Lots of functions that i didn’t know it did from barometric pressure and the smart phone messaging so all in all very happy with it. I have had it a month and really useful. I don’t have the chest strap which would make the hrm more accurate but not a showstopper. Suggested recovery time useful too. Too many functions to list but loving it.

I use this watch as my standard watch now, having replaced a suunto vector. I have also replaced my garmin forerunner, edge and fenix 2. As a day to day watch it looks smart amd like a normal watch as opposed to some of the other sports watches and event the fenix 2. The activity tracking functions are useful and although the movement timer (watch buzzes at you’ve been inactive for too long during waking hours) can at times be irritating it is helpful. The step tracker isn’t the most accurate and it will often miss more minor movements such as when i’m walking about whilst delivering a presentation, but is good enough. As a sports watch it’s proved to beotustandog, the battery life is good, covering me for the various activities. In terms of accuracy it’s always seemed to be more or less identical to everyone else’s watch. The amount of data you can generate from a single run or ride is handy, although the recovery timer is a bit generic and doesn’t really take into account you’re own physical capability but as with the steps is good enough. Tracback has proved handy on a number of occasions and is a good way of just trying out new run routes with confidence that you won’t have any dramas making your way back, was also handy on a race that in he previous year of missed a turning but using the basic mapping function available was able to pick it up the second year. There have been problems with the app in terms of transferring data across but for the most part it’s been very quick and simple to use with the bluetooth transfer and it’s not affected the battery as much as i thought it would.

I’m still trying to work out all the things it does but thats because im rubbish with new tec . Glad i got this, there is a 5 out now i dont know what more that does.

Brought for my husband and he loves it. Very interactive, easy to manage and great battery life.

An incredible loaded with features multi sport watch. Thought long and hard about this vs. Really pleased, i expect it will have lots more uses for other sports/ activities and therefore last me a lot longer.

I bought this product in may 2016. Until today, the heart rate monitor has worked out perfectly. It is not the same with the watch. Obviously, the product is good and in black is wearable even in the office, but in my paticular case it had a couple of things that have changed my mind in terms of the quality of the garmin fenix 3. After two days in the simming pool, the watch collapsed. I couldn’t even do a hard reset, as the watch was in a wrong date and couldn’t be changed. As a result of that, i went through the process of getting a new refurbished one, and it was extremely slow as they couldn’t send it to my workplace (which is 5 min far away from my home). But i guess now it is ups the one to blame. Once i got a new one, i still had to made a couple of hard resets because it collapses from time to time. I have to upload my data at least once a week not to lose the information.

Definitely the best multisport fitness watch i have had so far. I have previously had a garmin 230 and a vivoactive. Garmin 230 is a good entry level and the vivoactive, well, i replaced it within a few months. This watch is great, accuracy is better than the vivoactive by a long way, the functionality is a lot better. Once you get the hang of uploading routes, it is really easy to do. I pair it with a footpod for extra real time accuracy.

It’s an okay watch but the gps mode drains way too much battery and is still pretty inaccurate. The screen is also insanely easy to scratch. Even bumping it against plastic permanently scratches the mineral glass version of the device so i needed to get a screen protector.

The watch is fantastic, with the ability to add widgets & apps, making it personal to you. I still find the steps/floors climbed too gimmicky for my liking, but it makes up in so many other ways (including the waterproof nature, necessary for the week at glastonbury 2016).

Great product, expensive yes. But the build quality and the functions are amazing. It is a big watch, not suitable for people with small wrists but it looks great. The metal strap takes a little bit of time to adjust properly so it is not too loose or tight but once done it is great. There is so much you can customise and calibrate. For greater accuracy on gps and workout you can sample every second, this hits the battery life if left on all the time but you can just enable before you do your run/swim/cycle etc.

Excellent running watch and surprisingly good smart watch also. Battery lasted an entire 2 week road trip to america with regular morning trail runs and daily activity tracking. On the move it’s easy to see running data, heart rate data and to be able to skip tracks and see messages without having to remove your phone from your pack is a big plus. Not sure how this compares to other watches but i’m left wanting for nothing with this beast.

Vodafone V-Kids Watch – Good idea, poor execution

Son loves his new smart watch. Well made, location accuracy not always the best but my iphone xs max is sometimes off too. The general location coupled with voice notification should be enough if we needed to local our son. Worthy purchase if you can buy it on offer like i did. Not to sure it’s worth the full rrp. Setup isn’t straightforward so be prepared to spend sometime setting it up. Once the product is all set up it really is a good piece of kit, it takes little time to go through the process with the vodafone sim but it is worth doing. It is easy to voice message and gives me peace of mind with the sos function built in, the games are a good feature to keep the little one entertained. The gps tracking works well with the vodafone signal and no problems so far. Love this, it’s a brilliant well designed product but the battery life is very disappointing. Esta muy bien, yo se lo he comprado a mis hijos y es casi exactoen la posición aunque podrian mejorar la interface e incluso

Motast Smart Watch : Works exactly as you would expect

Bought this watch as a gift for hubby, and it is keeping him very happy. Not only it looks good (and very handsome) on his wrist, the battery life is long enough, he has so far only charged once when it first arrived, and it has been going strong ever since. Have yet to try the other functions, but to be honest, for us, the good look and long battery life is the two most important factors when comes to choosing a watch. Loloverall, very happy with this purchase, highly recommend it. I loved itarrived in brilliant condition and the very next day after i brought it too, arriving in a sturdy solid box making it very secure and safe from any knocks and bruisesi bought this beautiful watch for my husband. He had expensive smart watch before but get broken. I really was thinking i will get chip one now temporarily and late buy different. But now my husband love his watch so much. Came in a small box along with an instruction booklet, charging cable. It was already half charged when it arriv
