TomTom Spark GPS Multi-Sport Fitness Watch : Great watch with 2 problems and 1 issue that might

Got a pair of mpow bluetooth headsets for the music but realized it was a bad idea. Will acquire a set of tomtom bluetooth headsets to fully enjoy the music during my runs.

I’ve had it for a year and use it every other day so feel able to properly review it now. I know other users have commented that you can’t change things like units, measurements, display on the watch but you can in fact change all these things, and if i get stuck i go on the tom tom website where you can find full instructions for the watch. Battery life is good, it measures accurately and the interface with my laptop is seamless. I use it for running and swimming. Running is perfect, and i love that it can be set for intervals as i often do interval sessions with my club so i can programme the set in advance and then be ready to go for the session. The swim measurement is usually slightly off, but it tends to overcount lengths so i don’t mind too much. I have taken to wearing it all the time as my everyday watch as it is so clear, comfortable and the battery life is great. The music just doesn’t work for me. This started out as a massive problem and i was so frustrated with it, but now it really doesn’t matter as i have actually stopped listening to music and podcasts while i run. I was trying to set up the music via a very elderly itunes account and the problem was with my itunes rather than the watch. That said, the music feature seems way harder to use than is necessary and i have no idea why you can’t just drag and drop tracks into it, it is overly challenging. The one time i got the music to work (i managed to load three songs) the headphones worked absolutely fine for me.

I replaced my fitbit with this – my second fitbit strap had failed so wanted a different brand. Great for some things – tracks well, nice having music on the watch, clear screen etc. But you’ll see a lot of forum comments about the screen damaging. I’m not very active, and have 2 small scratches on the screen after 1 month, so i suggest buying a screen protector which the fitbit never needed.

Brilliant watch, the only sports watch that is also an mp3 player i think. Heart rate is accurate and i’ve found the interval and training modes really useful.

I have had this watch for 3 weeks. It is a good watch/activity tracker. I have used polar watches for 20 years and find this tomtom better. (i am very cynical about help desks. Most of them should be called frustration centres. Try phoning bt sometime) firstly i had trouble with the control button and was convinced i had been sent a defective watch. After a conversation with tomtom support, i sent my ‘defective’ watch back and was sent a replacement immediately. I now realise it was my inexperience with the watch. However i had problems setting up my tomtom account. These were quickly resolved with another call to support. My eyesight is not that great.

So many hidden menus/details/info. I had the tomtom runner as a ‘test device’ (after a garmin 310xt that died). Love the easy to use display, the variable goals, the treadmill/swim/cycle/fixed cycle/freestyle and other options. I have also uploaded over 3gb of music to it, easy to navigate and use. Heart rate and gps are accurate. The supplied manual is (as seems fairly standard these days) minimal so do download the full one from tomtom. Updating data to your account is easy via laptop via cable or phone (free app on android and apple), via bluetooth. The one failing with tomtom at the moment is the lack of an option to upload route to the watch and follow them – though tomtom forum says this is being looked into.

This was bought for a xmas present i waited a while before posting a review to see how it worked and my partner uses it all the time she said it works really well and is really happy with it and has had no problems with it working.

Great watch which does so many things, thenidea is it combines sports tracking with daily activity. However, it falls down on a couple of things which i wasn’t aware of when buying it. The first is how inaccurate the pedometer is (it almost doubles the steps my fitbit counts), as is the sleep counter. Also, the music only works when you wear the watch on the left wrist – a minor issue but you’d think the bluetooth would work regardless of what side you wear it on.The indoor cycle tracking is pointless as it doesn’t track distance and there’s no way of manually adding it afterwards. In all, a decent watch for the money and i love having the music with me (the speakers are god but battery life is short) but if you’re looking for a do-it-all watch to wear all day this sadly isn’t it. I use it as a tracker for my activities and stick to my fitbit for the rest.

I have had this tomtom spark for a couple of weeks now and it is pretty good. (annoyed that it is now a bargain at only £140 less than 2 months later)the tomtom replaces multiple devices that i use during the day, for running, and for swimming. I purchased the one with hr and music. It replaces; my alpha mio heart rate monitor and phone when out running, my stop watch for when i swim, and my fitbit for counting steps, sleep tracking, and morning alarm. Running on air -i enjoy running about five kilometers two or three times a week. I use the hr and music on the tomtom whilst i run. The gps kicks in when you push the button to run, and then tells you when it is ready and you can start. A good mode to run in is race mode if you have already previously run the course as it shows your distance ahead or behind your course record. I have now set up a strava account and loaded the app onto my phone. I find the strava app gives an extra incentive for my runs as you can see what other runners do and try and improve against them and yourself. The data loads smoothly onto strava. Swimming like a dolphin -this watch automatically gives you a work out reading for your 100 meters so i have also set a lap to 250 meters. Sometimes the tomtom can drop a lap if you turn too far away from the wall on a tumble turn, but it will generally only drop it once, and not each time. Once you have completed a lap it shows you how many laps you have done if you want it to.

This is my third tomtom and it will be my last i buy, i can not get it to work on my computer for up dates so i am missing out on things if i buy again it will be a different brand.

The size of the numbers on the digital clock are huge but i like it. It’s a bit confusing to navigate at first, but you just have to spend time with it. The watch band is an easy on/off design. The watch charger is good too because it won’t get mixed up among all your other usb or phone chargers.

This is a cheaper alternative to many of similar watches on the market. It does not offer all of the features, but for your casual runner that’s fine. It’s a really good way to stay motivated seeing how you are running, the design is good and unlike many it comes in two sizes. The controls are good and it is quite easy to use – although the initial updating on your pc is a little confusing. Recommended for an average runner.

Was looking for a smartwatch that allowed me to register my sport activities, measuring heart rate and allowing me to listen to music while leaving my huge smartphone at home. When reading reviews about this device i saw the heart rate sensor was perfect (without using a terrible chest sensor) and it also contained the other features. I decided to drop the idea for a smartwatch and purchased this device instead. I don’t miss reading emails or using other smartwatch features, it does exactly what it does, heart rate is indeed accurate and gps signalling is perfect. It just needs some time to get correct gps signal before i can start (sometimes up to five minutes). Also tried it while swimming indoors and after entering the size of the pool it also measured that perfectly. Music storage is 3 gigs and more than sufficient for a very large number of songs. Also connected 2 different bluetooth headsets (plantronics and jabra) and both worked fine.

Seller was quick, courteous, and helpful. Watch face is larger than expected, but does everything you need a sports watch to do- gps, music and heart rate.

The usb cable has stopped working. One of the metal connections is sticking out so i can’t connect to my computer. It is still charging but i can’t change any of the music anymore. Phoned up the support line and they are sending a new cable out free of charge – changing to 5 stars.

This is an excellent product at a great price with two very annoying features, firstly it can often take along time to find gps, and i have been known to go out sandpit it on my car roof till it gets reception. Secondly if i leave it for 6 days or more without charging (even though its not been used at all) it will die. Still at the price may still be the best option.

I chose this watch/tracker specifically because of the mp3 function and the fact i can use it with bluetooth headphones when walking etc. Much less cumbersome than listening to music from the mobile. It was worth downloading the full manual as the instructions supplied were quite basic. Overall, i’m pleased with my purchase.

Great product and easy to set up. Has got me motivated and able to track effort and performance. Battery life is pretty good and the gps connection works quickly. Pairing to upload data to apps can be a little fiddly, but that’s not a big issue and overall a great unobtrusive running/cycling watch that you can wear all the time if you like.

I don’t like it at all however it was a gift for my husband and he loves it. He wears it non-stop and keeps finding more things that it can do. However he wanted this specific model for the music and still cannot find out how to access the music.

Plays music well, uploads my activity and seems quite accurate. Only minor issue is that it takes a little while to get gps signal and doesnt get signal indoors. However, for the price- cant complain.

I love it now that i have gotten used to it. It doesn’t beep like a garmin, but once you get used to the vibration you look out for it to tell you your interval or hr zone. It can take a few minutes to connect to the gps system but generally it’s pretty quick to do that. The only downside i think is the battery life. If you have all the hr working with music too, then you are looking at 4-5hr running time only. That’s fine for a marathon but not for ultra’s. You can set it so that the data automatically uploads to something like strava and then you can really look at the metrics :)the music is awesome too although just one track shows, so you can’t skip songs. You have to use itunes or window’s media to put more music on there. But there is plenty of room to do that. It fits so comfortably, that i use it constantly.

Fantastic item, works well, fast post, top seller.

I love this watch and always recommend it. Can use it for multiple sports and the gps is very good.

Great watch with 2 problems and 1 issue that might apply to you1 there is no battery status on the watch so you dont know when it is required to charge the clock. 2 the charging connection is done on the inside of the watch where it touches your wrist and it has to be pushed hard until it does a click to recognize. It is a possible way to destroy the connector or get it loose and not functioning. Also it is subject to direct sweat from wrist. 3 i find that both my phone and tablet (samsung and asus both recent) are not compatible with the wireless app. Also any windows laptop is not connectable by wifi or bluetooth. Should test the app before to see if compatible. Other than that, the gps, the heart rate monitor, the app works perfectly. Also it connects automatically and uploads your runs to many sites, like nike, so you dont loose your historical of runs and can continue to pile on them. The bluetooth works perfectly with headphones.

Can sync to phone- app shows detailed information on sporting activity. Needs to be charged very often. Takes a while to pick up gps. Cannot comment on the music function as i have not used this yet.

Vodafone V-Kids Watch – Good idea, poor execution

Son loves his new smart watch. Well made, location accuracy not always the best but my iphone xs max is sometimes off too. The general location coupled with voice notification should be enough if we needed to local our son. Worthy purchase if you can buy it on offer like i did. Not to sure it’s worth the full rrp. Setup isn’t straightforward so be prepared to spend sometime setting it up. Once the product is all set up it really is a good piece of kit, it takes little time to go through the process with the vodafone sim but it is worth doing. It is easy to voice message and gives me peace of mind with the sos function built in, the games are a good feature to keep the little one entertained. The gps tracking works well with the vodafone signal and no problems so far. Love this, it’s a brilliant well designed product but the battery life is very disappointing. Esta muy bien, yo se lo he comprado a mis hijos y es casi exactoen la posición aunque podrian mejorar la interface e incluso

Motast Smart Watch : Works exactly as you would expect

Bought this watch as a gift for hubby, and it is keeping him very happy. Not only it looks good (and very handsome) on his wrist, the battery life is long enough, he has so far only charged once when it first arrived, and it has been going strong ever since. Have yet to try the other functions, but to be honest, for us, the good look and long battery life is the two most important factors when comes to choosing a watch. Loloverall, very happy with this purchase, highly recommend it. I loved itarrived in brilliant condition and the very next day after i brought it too, arriving in a sturdy solid box making it very secure and safe from any knocks and bruisesi bought this beautiful watch for my husband. He had expensive smart watch before but get broken. I really was thinking i will get chip one now temporarily and late buy different. But now my husband love his watch so much. Came in a small box along with an instruction booklet, charging cable. It was already half charged when it arriv
