The leather strap soon got smelly and fell apart. But the watch itself is great, really much better than i thought it would be. It’s main forte seems to be alerting you to alerts on your phone. Even that it does better than expected. For example i get alerts on my watch that i don’t even see on my phone. Also if i dismiss the alert on the watch quickly, it doesn’t even pop up on the phone. Beyond that, interaction with just the 3 buttons is a bit more limited, but pixel miner is brilliant, being able to pick pre-canned text replies, and view and read emails etc is really helpful.
My first smart watch and i do like all of the functions. Love that i don’t have to take my phone out my bag to fast forward to the next song and that i can emoji reply to texts and app messages. It would be a five if i could use it to find my phone and with supplement tags find my car keys car and handbag etc. Also why are practically all the review on the pebble app saying it is going to be discontinued by fitbit?.Not happy about that when it’s the first experience of pebble.
This is my second pebble watch. Whilst i wouldn’t be without it for its convenience particularly in my job i am disappointed this time. It ikeeps fragmenting and i have no idea how to sort it. It’s updated via wifi so i’m assuming all is up to date but i am mystified as to how to sort it. I am unable to contact the seller so i’m really disappointed.
I am a happy owner of the pebble steel watch and it just do the job without being fancy or way out of budget. Stready connection via bluetooth (wide range as well) ,the baterry lasts 6 days approximately ,lots of watchfaces to chooce from and lets not forget its primal existence,it is a watch that tells time and datei already asked pebble via twitter about a language pack for greek but hopefully they will eventually include it eventually in a update. In total i am very satisfied with my purchace.
This is a very stylish looking smartwatch which looks good with any outfit and is not cheap and plastic looking unlike similar watches. We had an issue with the first watch we received however this was speedily resolved and the replacement watch has lived up to expectations.
Even though it’s a few years old now and not the smartest smart watch in terms of tech, it certainly is a smart looking watch. The functionality and the companion app works flawlessly on ios and the e ink screen is a pleasure to use. The build quality is excellent and it’s really comfy.I’ve been wearing it in bed for the sleep app and it’s not irritated me once. This is an excellent first dip in the water of smart watches and looks really nice in my watch collection. Couldn’t have wished for better.
Brilliant purchase, but obviously it’s a luxury, not a necessityi pondered for months wether or not to buy the pebble, the reviews were (almost) all good and in the end i bit the bullet. At the end of the day it’s a watch, but it’s somehow brilliant to see a text message on your wrist, and know if you want to disturb the company you’re in before you check your phone. It’s got a lot of good features, but if you’re stuck deciding if you should buy it, just do it.
A really nice and well-made piece of technology, looks and feels like a real watch and generally works well. Only complaint so far is that when it loses its connection to the phone and then reconnects the notifications occasionally stop working and it’s not easy to get them going again.
- A collectable classic?
- Legendary smartwatch that every watch user should try or have
- But the watch itself is great, really much better than I thought it would

Superb battery life with lots of functions.
It’s good, thought i could do more than you can. After a year one of the buttons is a bit fiddly. Other than that it’s a good watch.
After trying various bands finally settled on this which was an amazon deal of the day i’m delighted with it.
I ummmed and arghed about a smart watch for ages and took the plunge on this. I’m so glad i did as it does everything i need and at a good price. It doesn’t replace your watch and i still think it’s a want rather than a need device bit defo worth having.I use it to read texts, receive notifications and get football scores on a weekend. The battery life is awesome and the choice of apps, watch faces etc is amazing. I’d recommend anyone who is sitting on the fence to get this as i can’t see what extra i’d get from spending 3 times the price.
Once paired with my smartphone it works straight away. I hardly ever get my phone out my pocket anymore unless i need it. Any message vibrate straight to my wrist.
Everyone asked ware did you get that from. This has hundreds of customisable options with apps and watch faces ,looks great and the battery lasts 7 days according to what watch face you have running. Easy to read in bright sun light and will charge up from dead to full in about 80 to 90 minuets. This may be worth getting the stainless steel strap to add that little extra if you prefer.
This is the best watch i have ever had. It look stylish, and it gives me my notifications right away. If you are looking for a smartwatch with alot of features, this mig not be it. But if you are going for at comforteble, good looking watch, that can telt you who’s calling, texting, e-maling you etc. Then is perfekt at what it does, wich is just that.
Brilliant, does all it needs to, besides telling the time. Would recommend this to anyone contemplating a smartwatch.
I bought it cheap at £83 in may 2016. I had no idea if i would use it but actually find it very useful for notifications. The screen is very readable, even in bright sunlight, so all in all a good product.
Looks good and works well with my iphone 5s. The battery lasts at least 4 days on one charge, compared to the motorola and others that last just one day. You can even answer your calls using the watch, following a recent update ios update.
Screen was defective but was issued a replace by pebble. Appart from that the watch is well made and good battery life. However you quickly get tierd of the 1980’s pixel screen and wish you had an android wear item. I will buy another when they improve the screen.
Good looks and well made but the android app seemed a poor cousin to ios. Had lots of issues with the device not connecting automatically. Moved to android wear instead which has different issues but ones i was happier with.
Flawless operation and great battery life. Pebble steel and pebble time steel are the ones with the most battery on my use (15-17 days). Always on display with e-paper and no worries about charging. When you need a charge, takes an hour and lasts 2 weeks. So, it’s like not a need at all on your daily ‘must do’ things. I wish pebble could be resurrected again and to release/continue it’s legacy. Thanks to rebble we (the community) can still use our loved watches. Also we should all subscribe to rebble. Io for help to stay up and running.
I love pebble watches for their variability, simplicity and compared to most of the competition, really long battery life. I had pebble classic before so the hardcase with glass and leather belt is nice plus for it. Watches feels luxurious and thanks to the leather belt not too heavy on the hand either. After month of using i’m really happy for its hard glass else it would gather collection of scratches already. Watches looks professionally and not too bulky, what i want from smartwatch is functionality not training weight. On pebble steel you won’t find any camera or microphone which is plus for me, it’s both distracting and unnecessary if you are not industrial spy or love low resolution photos. Only con it has for me is little bit of noise when leather belt is more stretched, probably from the spring bar pins.
Looks good, feels good nothing to fancy just works well. Hope the battery life is as good as others say it is.
I purchased a pebble steel (401s) after several months wearing a (previously owned) pebble 301bl, so i knew what to expect. I purchased the watch knowing that pebble had ‘gone under’ (assets acquired by fitbit), as i couldn’t find a better alternative for the price. If the watch goes wrong withing warranty amazon will replace or refund your money. Most gadgets go out of date within a couple of years, so i’m personally not worried about long-term support. In terms of design, the pebble steel looks somewhat retro, in a quirky ‘steam punk’ kind of way. The steel case and buttons are well machined, and the black leather strap completes the look. My only gripe is the leather strap and its fitting. I know the strap won’t last for ever, so i’ll need to purchase a replacement at some point. Fixed in later models, the non-standard fitting of the pebble steel means limited choice which is a shame.
Very good watch and the notification setup was very simple. I had no issues at all syncing it with my iphone. I have downloaded plenty of apps and watchfaces from the pebble. I know some may find a problem only being able to have 8 apps on the watch at a time but i don’t have any issue with that, how many can you need at one time anyway?.The watch is very comfortable to wear because it is very light and also the strap is soft and flexible. I think i might buy the pebble time as well, if only because it has a colour screen.
Husband loves this great xmas present .
I l-o-v-e my pebble steel smartwatch for a number of reasons:1: it looks great2: email, calendar, whatsapp, sms, alarms, etc. , all available3: i’m no longer late for meetings4: i can answer/reject calls from my watch, which is very handy if you’re a little bit too far away from the phone to get to it before it stops ringing and goes to voicemail5: it fits perfectly6: the build quality is really good7: did i mention it looks great?8: every day you can put a new watch face on it, and it looks great all over again.
Got it for 50 euros on sale and it is great. Does what a smart watch should do, except for the fast replying via the watch, but i am ok with it. Again it’s 50 euros only so i am happy. Nice watch themes, apps, map application super helpful, bright screen, battery lasts 5-6 days with medium use. Also the seller is great, the item was delivered on the date it said and very well packaged.
A present – people liked it very much.
